TRAILMIG

When the trail gets tough you need to get the TRAILMIG out. TRAILMIG is Australia’s own portable welder for those who like to play hard or simply want peace of mind when touring the remote Aussie outback.

TRAILMIG comes with a 2.8 meter mig torch with steel liner and 2.8 meter ground clamp to ensure you can get to where you need to weld. The tough storage case protects your welding gear and has enough space for those extras needed to get the job done. The case is compact enough to throw in the back of your rig, and because it uses your existing dual battery setup there’s no maintenance to worry about.

This is our TRAILMIG Series 1 and requires a dual battery system to power it. To ensure you can get to where you need to weld, we include 6m power cables that convert to jumper leads, just in case you have really gone all out and need that jump start after the welding job is complete.

you did not talk of power adjustment and specs - I notice a PWM somthing (adjustment???) on the control box. What does this do? - Can you adjust the welding voltage with the PWM (24V is a bit hot for some lighter gauge stuff) This product has a lot of potential, particularly if it incorporates voltage adjustment down from the 24V

Thanks for the question John. The voltage adjustment is for the wire feed. It doesn’t adjust voltage to the MIG torch like a traditional Mig welder would. So as the voltage drops off towards the end of the weld it does get cooler. The idea being that this is for off-road use more than around home. Could still be used for gates and the heavier jobs like that. For the occasional job around home it would be ok I guess, but certainly not the intent.
