I know nothing of football; & live across river in Illinois; but watching this man in the zeitgeist all these years - much respect!

Props to Ferentz for owning up to the infraction, taking responsibility, and apologizing. Jim Harbaugh could really learn a lesson about honesty and accountability from Ferentz (though history shows he won’t).

Kirk is a class act, but with that said, seems like everyone is doing this stuff that Kirk did but once again we are the ones that got caught. We had the gambling deal and now this. The gambling thing very severely punished a guy in his last year of eligibility. Can't wait to see if the NCAA bumps Kirk's punishment. Seems they like to pick on Iowa. Maybe Kirk can watch with a certain wide receiver who also has the day off.

I have no problem with a suspension from kirk or for kirk for a violation. I have a HUGE problem with the NCAA and their complete lack of punishment and favoritism towards the blue blood type programs. You know damn good and well Alabama. Clemson. USC. Texas. All these programs commit far more egregious violatios and the NCAA look the other way. But they will bring the hammer down on Iowa and cost a kid a whole season for a 20 dollar bet on womens bball or not approve a season for another who was injured and didnt meat the requirements for a medical redshirt cuz he tried to play in a game through an injury. NCAA IS A COMPLETE PIECE OF SHIT ORGANIZATION. An organization thst somehow remains nameless and faceless and has no one to go to hold them accountable. Complete joke. Again. If Kirk violated a rule and is suspended a game. Fine. But how bout suspending the coaches who are making far worse violations and more of them.

💯 believe that she was the one behind the “self-imposed” suspension. She’s trying her best to expel the Ferentz family from Hawkeye football and start fresh with the coach of her choosing. KF will be done at the end of the year.

Setting example for players and coaches to keep their aspirations under control in the age of NIL/XFR portal. Surprised this is a non-B1G game suspension since CM was contacted within B1G.

This is incredible. Head coach and her assistants. The scouting manager. The strength coaches. The bench, the support they gave their teammates. The most influential players. Caitlin. The final reflection of Ms. Clark at 1.11.40 - such a deep train of thought for such a young person. Yes, she's a once in a generation kind of talent - a Maradona, a Cristiano Ronaldo, a Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods, Brady, Serena Williams. She is that. But she's also special as a person. I truly hope she distances herself from all the negativity, jealousy, etc, in the WNBA, for she is already a legend. Great documentary, Iowa Hawkeyes.
