@@blameusa7082 you can use somthing other then a zip tie. The purpose is to show that with a soft material and enough pressure it will slip. There is of course situation where it will not work due to motor condition.

I would like to thank you man I been operating drones since 2016.I always looked at Helicopter pilots for a minute and enjoyed watching the amazing things people can do with these helicopter. Long story short. I started checking some helicopter rc pilots and I bumped into your tutorials. I love the lesson you gave on KZfaq. I felt so confident about learning to operate a rc heli.I made a big decision to purchase a S1 rtf from Helidirect.I have to give thanks to your tutorials. Thanks my brother. ✌️🙏👍

super beginner here so first, Thank you for posting this explanation. I was wondering how the pitch curve begins at throttle setting of zero along the X axis, but the curve of the pitch is zero along the Y axis...mid way up, and not beginning at the same point as the throttle. .but, then I realized..i think, that there should probably be a horizontal line at the 0 pitch delineating positve and negative pitch .. is this correct? Or possibly the curve could begin at zero ON the X axis, and progress in the negative direction.. Im confused

Hello , I'm new to Helicopters . I have a 450 SE . My question is the top or large gear spins as it should but the smaller bottom gear witch is the main drive gear doesn't spin at all . Have I forgot part of the Radio commands?. Thanks , Bobby M.
@33forsaken28 күн бұрын
@@Dynaglide92rc most helis these days have a two gear stack of some sort. One spins free because it does not engage the one way bearing in the center. This is designed so that while the motor or power source is engaged the main rotor will also engage. Once throttle hold is applied or the power source dies. This one way gear will allow the main rotor to still spin free and thus allowing the heli to perform an “ autorotation “. I hope this helps

Hi Freddy I’m setting up a 5.5, xnova 4020-1350kv (6mm shaft) and Hobbywing 120a esc. Drive train is smooth as butter. At 75% throttle (Futaba) im getting just 1850 head speed. Is this correct? I have both the stock 14th (6mm) pinion and the next pinion up - 15 tooth. I’m running the 15 tooth now. ESC end points done and RPM standardisation completed on the Hobbywing 120 esc. Where can I buy this gauge or a similar one with roll and pitch?
@stevejohnston85432 ай бұрын
Hey Fred how do you set zero pitch and I’d it that important on these micros? In normal 3D mode it isn’t zero at mid stick but it is in idle up. Is that what matters and should you level your swash in idle up? Thanks. I guess levelling a swash and setting zero pitch are different things? Would you have to turn links and should it also be a zero pitch in normal mode? Sure seems to fly rock solid with no drift regardless. Thanks.

Freddy, new to the hobby, I am using Spirit 2 and following your great videos ! When I level the swash then go to pitch range I set to 140 like your video but my mixing is not great, I can have 2 points drop off the swash leveller during travel, my links are correct length, I keep going back to the swash levelling and doing again and get perfect but I cannot get past the test in pitch range, am I doing something wrong here ? I’m setting up a Align 470LM

It sounds like your Servo center ( neutral ) may be off on one or two of the servos. In theory… if all three servos were a perfect true 90 deg. Then they are geared to travel the same amount positive and negative. In this case the only factor that could cause un level travel would be your link arm length. If they are all equal ( or to the spec ) then I would re visit the Servo centers and work your way back up the main rotor.

Mr Freddy, A lot of times when I watch videos when they start up I think to myself oh my God this is going to be another wack one. However, I'm making it a habit to tell people if they do a good job on their videos or not. I can't stand videos that are 20 or 30 minutes long with only 2 minutes of useful information in it. If I'm going to watch a video that long all the information has to be useful. That's exactly what this video was man good job! I'm brand new like literally brand brand new to this helicopter RC world this is my first helicopter ever and this was the first good video that I seen that tells me about the settings and even what some of the controls on the helicopter actually do. I am having a little bit of drift to the left when I start to take off and some of my servos are not at 90°. But, I did get this helicopter used but it was like new condition basically. The way that I was adjusting my servos was by manually unscrewing the little arms off of the servos and turning them a little bit and screwing them back on and I said to myself like damn there has to be a better way to do this how come there are no settings for this. Now I know! 😄🤙 Edit: came back to say that that's not the only thing I learned from this video but if I talked about everything I learned this comment would be way longer than it already is.

I have an OS 50 on my 600 shuttle evo. i’m trying to get as quiet as possible and I have been searching and searching for a muffler. That is the quietest. I can find. I ended up putting the stock muffler back on. It seems to be the quietest any information you can give me on a muffler that is quieter than the original stock muffler I would so kindly appreciate a little loss and power is not a concern for me, for I only do scale flying. I am a fairly newbie to the hobby.lol

Question: I have a 200amp Hobbywing HV OPTO ESC, on the package it says it's for a 700-800 size heli. Purchase it about 2 years ago not knowing a lot about electric helis. Now I just finished a Specter V1 700 heli and will mount the OPTO ESC in it along with an IKON FBL and a XNOVA motor and 12s lipo. I'm almost certain that all I need to do is plug the ESC Red, black, and white wire into throttle channel and the single wire into the governor port of the IKON. Then add a 2S lipo battery to power servos and FBL system. Just want to make sure I'm not going to smoke my ESC on maiden. Thoughts on OPTO ESCs.
