And if you think you know every single car made on the planet, even single-made home examples; you're obviously too dumb to even have an opinion. Dumbass. 2. your problem wasn't oil starvation. it's the fact that the threaded part on the rod is much too small to be reliable at 6,300 rpm. the 5sfe wasn't designed to be revved that high. a brand new 5sfe would do the same. hell, if you rebuilt a 3sgte with 5s rods (I think they're the same size, apart from the small end hole that the wrist pin goes through is smaller) it would do it then, too.
@neonreign29883 жыл бұрын
Toyotas make solid engines, but I have no clue why anyone would redline 0-60 in low gear in the first place! I had over 200,000 miles on my old es300 and 190,000 (3.0 L v6) on my current Camry. I definitely don't think it was a design flaw either, I agree with your sentiment.
@kotymccallister51503 жыл бұрын
@@neonreign2988 yeah, it just wasn't designed for it. They've built bulletproof engines that can, think the 4age, 3sge, 2zzge etc. But this wasn't a performance engine lol. thweepz , +PeterGriffin4200 The 5SFE is an extremely reliable engine. The causes of most problems seem to be; running out of oil and overheating (due to lack of maintenance) and extreme hot rodding. In my case it was hot rodding, it may have been lack of oil although it didn't leak oil, Could have been low on oil, whether that may have been or not, it was bad on my end as I didn't check the oil first thing before I drove it.
