What is the "collector edition"? Never heard of it! I have a Gallery Series that I turnnd into my version of a TRD Edition. I installed a TRD Supercharger on it and a bunch of other stuff. Is the Collector Edition a manual or a automatic?

@@100mgd No, that isn't me. I have had my Camry for around 20 years now. It has about !27K miles on it and still runs great. Paint looks like shit now since I have to park it outside lol. Mine is pretty mellow, stock boost, passes CA smog, and just keeps running.

The superchargers are not intended for the 1mz with vvti. Things may not work as planned but you can still work around it. If you had a non vvti 1mz then everything in this video will be plug and play and work as it should

I just bought a collectors edition! Would anybody know what the difference between the XLE and collectors edition is?

So the Collector Edition is basically an upscaled LE but not full on XLE. XLE would have dual front power seats while a Collector Edition has a power driver seat but manual passenger seat. Also an XLE after 1998 for a Camry has a immobilizer chipped key while the Collector Edition does not have a immobilizer chipped key since you don't see the security light by the tachometer like you would on an XLE gauge cluster. It does however share the same 16-in XLE Alloys that you would see on a 2000 or 2001 XLE plus the Chrome tipped exhaust plus the wood grain mirror and dimmer switch and wood grain radio and shifter bezel wood grain along with the window switch woodgrain. The wood grain leather wrap steering wheel and the wood grain on the vents is collector edition only. Collector edition has its own special front Grill and trunk badging that is not Chrome nor gold nor black pearl emblem. It is known as "Platinum badging" plus it has Collector Edition stitched front floor mats and a special collector edition logo badge on the trunk right under the "Camry" badge and the Collector Edition does not have an CE, LE, or XLE badge on it at all meanwhile you will only see a 2001 Gallery Series Camry always with the LE badging on the rear trunk.

@XxskillfullxX there's also some info I might have left out like the 6-cd changer and the JBL premium audio equipped radio but if you look on import archive (importarchive.com) and look at the 2001 Toyota Camry Collector Edition brochure will show and then some, another thing I forgot, even though it is practically based as an LE, it has digital climate like a 00-01 xle. Very interesting how they decided to package the Collector Edition.

For a 1999 V6 XLE , with red leather drivers side Toyota xls 1999 Avalon TRD with the bbs rims Yokohama twin turbo hybrid 2jz pipes 350z Tokyo drift with Nissan maxima headers and the r32 headers with a 3mzfe hybrid new running chain with Camry ECU and 1995 Celicas V6 swap and dual exhaust. Sounding like Tokyo drift 350z version with twin turbo and a supercharger.

Love your channel, im a michigan camry lover too. I got mine off iaai for $1500, it was a donation with 180k miles and an oil leak but no rust! I fixed the leak, put in a touch screen and new speakers and now its a perfect daily! Just need to figure out how to fix the exhaust leak. It revs high at idle too, especially when first staring, i wonder if thats related to the exhaust leak.

@100mgd Have u had any issues with ur load equalizer resistor? And what about ur wires, now that it’s be cut the skin of the black wire and expose the bare wire, using T-tabs for using load equalizer resistor. Any issues on them? Do u personally recommend or u prefer a led bulb with a built-in resistor? Or both for that matter?
