This video demonstrates how to get the VCarve Pro post processor from the JTechPhotonics Web Site, modify it to prevent laser "burn dots", and load it into the Vectric Post Processor folder.

I really appreciate your in-depth and concise videos. I have a super basic non adjustable Laser module, that will burn the surface when turned on. What i want to do is connect it through my C25S BOB, and control the intensity in Mach3 via Spindle instructions. I have read this from various posts. I think I need to apply your series 000X to build post processors etc. Am I going down the wrong path since i am not using a laser manufacture as you are? Are there portions of your series that are applicable to what Im trying to do with the hardware I currently have? Thanks in advance. Hager H

I am attempting to download the Vectric PP and modify it following your guide. In your video you dont select “DOWNLOAD GRBL INCH” you select “ gcode inch”. But when you start editing the file it displays “GRBL INCH”. Im 84 and confuse easily, please help me to get started in the right direction.

Kevin, you would have to do it either manually by turning down the current, or by using the "S" command in your g-code. Check out my video on how to focus the laser beam on very low power.

hi pleaz when i wont to save my postprocessor to folder vectric windows7 cant convert it in pp file the extention is effective pp but it still test file and i can't see hi in vectric i dont know what i have to do for this thanks

I am using an Axiom Pro 8 CNC with the JTech laser. Will this post-processor edit work for my Axiom as well?

John- Thank you so much for this video. VERY helpful. I'm stuck at the point of opening the "program Data" file. I have my "show hidden files" checked and applied, but I don't see a "program Data" file anywhere.Could it be called something else in Windows XP?

It's in your programs directory usually under the C:\ drive. In mine it's in the X86 folder. Yours may be different.

Got past hurdle 1. Next problem, when I rename the file to have a .pp extension it doesn't change to a .pp file. It stays as a text file. So now I have a TEXT file named VCarve Pro Laser.pp. What did I do wrong?

Finally found it It is called resource data in my version of XP.
