Just wanted to add something that I forgot to test and that is quiescent battery drain. Without a load on the battery the boost circuitry still draws about 100uA. Given an average capacity of 470mAh (~1200 @ 3.7V) this means the batteries will need to be re-charged at least every 16 months or so. That is a bit of a drawback given that an alkaline has a shelf life of about 10 years.

I see what you were saying about the boost converter. I have not taken one apart, but from what you have displayed, yay!, we can rebuild them when they give out. I have a ton of those sized lithium batteries in my box. Thanks for the info and the great video!

Yeah, they should be rebuildable. Vape batteries might be ideal.

Just a thought, you are measuring mAh at 9V. What if they are measuring at Li-Ion nominal of 3.7v? 470*9.15/3.7 gets you about 1162 mAh which is a lot closer to their spec. Might just be some creative marketing.

Nice catch ! you can bet your bottom dollar thats why the numbers are absurd even by cheap import standards.

This product is a great idea but for RF-sensitive applications the little boost converter is going to be too noisy..

Maybe in some cases, but it is pretty quite.

Sorry, I don't. I just bought mine off Amazon. They were sold by LCLEBM and you should be able to contact them through their Amazon page.
