Sorry I don't know much about the Kia. If it has a dpf and it regenerates like Toyota the easiest way to know when it's happening is to monitor your fuel economy as you are driving, during a regeneration a Toyota will use a lot more and this can be seen in the real time fuel economy display.

I'm on android, go to 'play store' and search 'torque' to find the app For Bluetooth device, I went to my fav store, eBay, search 'OBD2 Bluetooth reader' there are heaps of options, they are all ok just don't get the really cheap ones, I had trouble with the cheaper ones Thanks, I will make a vid on setting up the torque app and adding custom PID commands

@@NeilF4x4Crusading well there are some paid one and some free, which one did you download because I want the same display as you showed us on this video. There is one called torque pro. Did you download that one

@@user-og6ik8lf2q I purchased this app about 8+ years ago Back then it was called TorquePro, a while ago they changed the name to Torque, same app, just a name change. Not sure what they offer now, back then they offered a free version that had limited functions and then you could upgrade to the paid version to get full functionality.

Before trans cooler I've seen 130+ deg C crawling up a long hill in low range, and without the trans cooler it took ages to get it back below 100 deg C

@@philtowle4683 it can clear fault codes, the dpf light usually comes on when it's doing a regeneration and light goes off when regen is finished.

​@NeilF4x4Crusading I have the light on and the car has so little power it's undrivable. I have cleaned the dpf off the car but can't get any values from the dpf from torque. Will it regen sat running with the warm up button depressed?
