Best battle report I have seen yet. Despite this being only 12 minutes long, I could better follow what was going on, and maintain an overview. I hope other KZfaqrs can learn from this video's style.

I appreciate the lack of meme content. Some simple arrows and other graphics overlaying the pictures would make it easier to follow who moves where.

Plus one exactly this. Lack of memes and it flows much better. Also great idea on arrows and simple graphics to show what is happening. Doesn’t need be jarring, and translucent ones would be an idea to try. Great work on the report, keep them coming.

That giving ground off the table thing is a perfectly sensible reading without the faq which to my mind contradicts the rules. I approve the change but it's definitely errata not just clarification. +1 for meme free reports!

I am not sure if the Anvil could keep casting the Armour reroll buff into the close combat. Usually a spell has to specifically say if it can be cast into combat (unless it is Assailment spell). There is no mention of this on the Anvil's spell so I think he could only have the buff for one round. Good Batrep!

Great reports and format. A few things that stuck out at me. Why didn't your Hierophant just join the infantry block to prevent getting attacked from the Gyrocopter? Could that even attack however given your character was within 3" of a unit? Secondly, I think you perhaps missed a massive chance for major damage on the Iron breakers when the Necrosphinx didn't pursue in his combat. He could have charged the flank/rear perhaps whilst the Dragon took centre. Also another option would have been to fly behind the Iron breakers and breath weapon them that turn before dual charging them the next. Just some thoughts. Well done!!

Did your Heirophant have the Desert Sun amulet, that removes the Dry As Dust/Flammable rules from him? Because you mentioned that he only lost one wound when 'flamed', and I believe he would have lost two if it was fire? Or is the Gyrocopter's steam gun not 'Flaming' and you were just referring to the template?

The steam gun isn't flaming. Although I have a funny feeling we played it as flaming (not sure though) but the flames didn't spread (it only does the extra wound on a 4+)

What movement trays are you using for your tomb kings? They look great, how’d you do your basing?

Thanks! The movement trays are wooden ones from Sarissa Precision, with the edges covered in sand and painted, and steel paper glued to the bottom so that models stick to it. The TK bases are a base layer of 'Desert sand & stone' from Geek Gaming, then 'Realistic Green' grass tufts from Green Stuff World added along with 'Large Talus' rocks from Woodland Scenics. The only painting required is the black rims 🤩

Thanks for the video. 4:30 when you overrun the thunderers, with a cat;) You must to look in that that direction where you pursuit> table end. So in your turn you would not able to charge that warrior block. You would not have a line of sight. (Correct me, if i am wrong)

They've changed it from how it was before. Pg 157 "If the enemy unit is fleeing, it is hacked to pieces and immediately removed from play, exactly as if it had been run down by a charging unit. The pursuing unit may then attempt to reform."

5:30 This is something I still don't understand about the game. When can you reform in combat? If you are charged in the flank does it just stay that way? Or, as I'm thinking is it actually BETTER to break and 'flee' in good order so you can reform, and that you can't reform a unit from giving ground? If so that's dumb, as it's punishing successful leadership tests...

The memes have been banished and shan't be returning. It also makes my life easier, as on my 40k channel thinking of and sourcing the memes/reaction clips adds a lot of time to the report creation.

conclusion the infantry did not do anything and did not work for their points, you can try to convert them into archers or take mounted units.

They weren't needed in this matchup, not all units are always needed. Don't think I'll be converting my models based on 1 match 🤣 I do want some horse archers and some regular archers but may be a little while before I have any painted up

@@Arctovian I see, bro), but as a tournament player, I usually create an army in which everything should work, this is my rule. and yes, the priest needs to be put on a horse so that he can hit his slippers in time and gallop off into the sunset.

I am wondering how your tomb king is out of range for charges at the 3:29 make, with a threat of 19" and a charger longer than that he should've been able to charge if he's on centre line. Also not sure if you know, undead units with fly can march too. Means you can be pretty aggressive with the bone dragon. Battle report is really solid otherwise, looking forward to seeing more.

Hmm you might be right, I'm not sure how far he is from the Thunderers at thar point but it might have been do-able. He would have had to wheel a bit though to avoid hitting the ruins, and I think I was just worried about them fleeing and the King just stumbling forward and not bring far enough forward in the next turn too, probably over-cautious. Yes the position he's in at 2:26 is as far as he could go even with an 18" march, he just started way too back. Correct me if I'm wrong but the maximum distance he can declare a charge at is 18" right (9+6, then +3 for swiftstride)?
