This tutorial shows briefly how the Services Asset Group can be used to turn off all services at an airport to prevent workers and pushback trucks being available at small airstrips.

You have answered my prayers! While the workers etc were somewhat of a novelty in the early days of MSFS, as the sim has gradually progressed, these 'workers' have become somewhat irritating. I'm looking forward to putting your fix into action very, very soon. Thanks again, and go well.

To modify/remove the vehicles on an airport, you need to also create a Living World Config file. The details about this file are in the SDK under the Environment section. The SDK includes an example living world config file. It also has a section on the services file, but it does not give a proper example of one, although a quick google will find one.

In this "LIvingWorldCfg.xml" file, would we have to modify the rate value to zero in each of the "parkingtypes" that the airport has in order to eliminate the vehicles?

firstly, thank you for all your ask tutorial videos. it has helped me immensely creating EDDM airport for MSFS. However, I'm stuck as I'm not able to out in custom jetways in the scenery, just can't get my head around it. I have the model and the texture and have fiddled around with the sdk but no help, I'll be glad if you could help me out 😊

Thank you for the good tutorial. It works fine with 1 GA ramp but a towing guy appeared if I set up 2 GA ramps. Do you have any idea?

Thanks for making all these Videos. Unfortunately, when you *really* get into recreating an airport, the SDK seems so limiting. Placing taxi or runway lights is borderline broken (LightRow) to simply impossible without making custom models, no UV offset for (apron) textures, texture heading only adjustable in integer steps so you have to fiddle with the XML. Sometimes objects (in my case Taxi lights) don't disappear even when you make a rect/airport removing all preset objects. That's just some of the issues. If you have a fix for any one of these , please let me know! Your videos are super helpful!

Good afternoon! Thanks for the video, it really works!!! I have a question, is it possible to do, if necessary, call them when pushback. marshall is needed? Probably it is through scripts, are there any examples services.xml all services, or where to get them? I looked all over google, but I never found it! and so perhaps the translation is not correct, since I use a translator. thank you

Hello and thanks for your tutorial, I followed and learned from your video how to do the various GATE and PARKING. My problem is this: I built my new airport with SDK 0.9.0, which is non-existent, which asobo does not have, with only non-existent ICAO, I created a GATE_HEAVY, a RAMP_GA_MEDIUM. Everything works, the ATC directs me, naming the taxiways correctly, at takeoff, when I land, I ask for and get permission to go to the GATE. When I arrive at the GATE the pitch turns blue, then when I enter it green, but the MARSHALLER is not there. Everything works in the GATE: jetway, baggage, fuel, pushback but the MARSHALLER does not. Also for the RAMP_GA_MEDIUM the marshaller does not show up when you enter to park. I leveled the entire airport with terraforming and gave the heights to the airport data including the runway. If I go to an airport already present in the SIM the marshaller works. Once, prior to this event, I used the services.xml file, following the procedures in a tutorial to clear the workers, to see how it works, and I'm pretty sure I haven't seen the marshaller since. I uninstalled and reinstalled the SIM, I recreated the airport with the same ICAO from scratch to see if the marshaller reappeared. Negative result, the marshaller is not there. I doubt it is the version of the SDK that does this? I also send you my project, which if you have time you could check if I have missed or need to implement something. It seems like we still have no good option to disable things like fuel trucks, fire trucks, buses etc apart from setting it to 0 in the Settings. I've tried with the world-file but that change little or nothing for me. It's not that great to see them at small grass fields :(

If you can figure out a way to stop busses/cars spawning in GA ramp spawns that would be amazing!

Only way I know right now is to set the ground vehicle density in the settings to 0. it sucks because at busy airports you'd expect to see ground vehicles.

Thanks for the great video tutorials! Please make a video with the "LivingWorld" change. There is flying car traffic around my high altitude airport. He started flying after terraforming. Of course, you can set the car traffic to 0 in the settings, but this is not the best solution. I only need to turn off traffic around my airport.

From what I've seen so far, the Living World stuff just lets you change stuff by continent/country region. I've not seen a way at the moment of being able to localise the living world stuff to a specific area like an airport. That would be ideal though if you could limit the living world data on the airport.

At 4:40 you mention the services.xml file goes into the community folder. Do I just paste it in that directory or does it have to go inside something else? Great videos by the way!

He meant the entire scenery package that you generate by pressing build in the editor.

Yes me too. I was not able to get it to work. I have these guy popping up in a seaplane base where I made parking spots. That looks really silly.

@@FlyingTheston I just found the file after updating my SDK. My SDK was on an ancient version so it didn't include this part.

Changing the Service.xml file won't remove vehicles, it just removes the workers.

Possibly a lot of things changed in the SDK since this tutorial was made, because this is not working anymore... Following this tutorial, these fuckers are still around the parking spots. Why is there no simple switch in the scenery editor at the parking spots to easily set if I want services there or not??? Well, what do I expect when such a simple thing is still not possible to do as a windsock with adjustable height...
