The decision to "cast" Melina for the first game was both brave and foresightful, and I'm so excited to see her in the second part. If you don't know the story: She was just jumping in as a body double, with her "real" job being a video editor. A lot of fans liked her immediately, and suggested to give her the role. It's highly unlikely we would have seen such a performance from a "professional" actor, there is something very intense and raw in her acting. And it's good to see how the role helped herself to grow, to become more confident, more open, and to trust in her abilities.

THIS!!! This is the level of dedication from a Developer that will make me even pre-order their product! Loved playing the first game! Can't wait for the rest of the Saga! Love you guys!

Just finished the 1st game. Hands down the best character facial animations / expressions I've ever seen in a game ... even better than RDR2 ... which really draws you into the experience. Fantastic work from the developer.

The experience of the first game still has a strong grip on me, no doubt in my mind this experience will only tighten it with such dedication to the craft.

It's been a rough couple weeks and I downloaded the game once again to re-experience it. It was a pleasant surprise to see this diary pop up in the Steam library, and I'm glad I watched it. The way you approach the game and the amount of time you devote to so many minor details is astonishing. I know nothing about the game dev industry, but I hope that one day a lot of big studios will get inspired by your craftsmanship. Please, take all the time you need to finish the game an release it in the best possible form. I hope there're no business stakeholders behind your back who push you with their deadlines. What you've created in the first part of the Saga is more than just a game. Thank you for that. You're incredible.

Melina Juergens is awesome! I loved her portrayal in the first game and no doubt will win awards for this. I will definitely be buying this on PC so I can max it out as much as I can. Been waiting on this game for a long long time. Incredible work by Ninja Theory and of course the many deserved accolades for Melina for making such a compelling character "real"!

That's insane. During the first game you only captured roughly a gigabyte of data and with that made an incredible game that stands out even today. The second game you've obviously have more resources and you're using even more data than the first which means you are going to blow the gaming world away.

I had stopped playing video games for several years, but then I got back into it when I got the XBox Series X and signed up for GamePass. The catalog was mainly XBox One games, but most of them were new to me. I'd never heard of Hellblade. Just from the title, I thought it was going to be some generic hack and slash. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. I was sucked in immediately. Just the intro of rowing through dark waters was mesmerizing to me. I couldn't believe it was made for the last gen console. If they could do those things back then, I can only imagine what they'll be able to do on a more powerful system. I am beyond excited.

I just want to say as a massive fan of the first game that this little dev diary video had me transfixed the whole way through. The detail you have go into with the costume design in real life will surely shine through in the digital game and through to me as a player. I do hope you are thinking of releasing a collectors edition as i would love to buy that also. Looking fowarwd to more of these.

Watching this, I can't help myself from thinking back to how Melina was originally just a member of the development team who was only supposed to be a placeholder until they hired a "real" actress, & yet she's gone on to win awards for her performance despite having no prior theatre experience. Truly a stroke of fate the day that she was chosen to stand in for Senua.

The video is reminiscent of ASMR. Each of the speakers in this video talks about the project so calmly and meditatively that it seems as if everyone is immersed in meditation. You listen and immerse with them in the deep and atmospheric story of Senua. Dan Crossland's voice sounds like Solas from Dragon Age: Inquisition :)))

I think the reveal trailer came out too early, as in end of 2019 people expected the game to be released within 1-2 years then, but I'm glad that you guys take your time to strive for quality and giving players the best experience!

Do whatever u guys need to do, u earned our patience and bias in your favor with Hellblade 1. Definitely one of the best games I've ever played, and one of those few games that come along once every few years that stick with me years after playing it. No matter when Hellblade 2 comes out, I'm pre-ordering it. ❤

The first game captured my heart and soul and by then I didn't even know about Ninja Theory and especially Melina who gave such a captivating performance even if she was not "real" actress. Best Performance Award on 2017 from the Game Awards, imho. Years go by, I wish the next game would have come out already, this is true, but deep in my heart I know I want everyone at Ninja Theory to have had all the time they need for the next game. I could never forget all the magic you have made me experience through your first game. I am here for whenever the next one is ready. Please don't feel rushed or stressed about it. As a measly consumer I can't help to feel that if you just are true to yourselves another great project like the first game will naturally come out of it. I'm here for it, as are many millions of people, imho.
