4 жыл бұрынIn this video the 6.0 bros show you the 2015 f250 shock replacement both front and rear. We did not only replace shocks, but we put upgraded shocks on from bilstein. We put the bilstein 5100s on our 2015 f250 6.7 Powerstroke. Now we had a part brake which required some cutting to get it done. We start talking about the comparison between rough country and bilstein shocks. This video will cover 2005-2020 F250s and F350s Links to follow shortly for parts used. all this to try and answer the question. what is the beset super duty shock? Is it Bilstein shocks, or rough country shocks?

I just replaced my 5100s on f250 with Fox 2.0s. I really love it. I do not have any lift on my truck.

I run 5100s on everything always give great qualityand handling. Have also run Rough Country and for the money they are pretty damn good as well.

I agree with you. If you're on a budget the rough country are pretty good, but u am really enjoying my bilsteins. I can tell a but of a difference

Had the lower shock bolt on my 2010 Fusion that would not budge. First time my impact had no effect. Gave it a good drenching of WD 40 and left it overnight. Next morning, came off easy peasy. Penetrating oil is amazing stuff! Living in the Rust Belt, anytime I go under any of my vehicles now , I spray down any nut and bolt I see. I should buy stock in the company with as much as I go through lol

I have also become a big fan of pb blaster. And have become use to using torches as well. That said washing under vehicles after snow storms is huge too.

I think kyb is better than factory I took them off my old mans 01 f250 and I didn't care much for them. I have liked rough country on my 04. I'm still trying to determine if the bilsteins are really worth the extra 100 or so over rough country shocks. If I didnt review stuff I do not know if I ever would have bought bilsteins to be honest

I’ve read of many people casting a vote towards the bilsteins, I however can not comment on them. I just got done changing my shocks out again from the regular looking Icon shocks to the Icons with the adjustable piggy back reservoirs. I was happy with the previous Icons they rode good but there’s something about the reservoirs. Also have the dual stabilizers, I chose them because I don’t see them much and feel like everyone else has Fox, King, or Bilstein etc. I feel your pain on the struggle bus lol feels like with every project something fights me. I sheared both of my sway bar links but the kit came with new ones. I used a bottle jack to help compress the rear shocks to get them in instead of trying to muscle them in. I was impressed by your efforts though keep up the good work!

Thanks man. Yea I'll have to check j to icon for maybe the white truck when I bring it back. I forgot icon even makes shocks despite know they have some nice lift kits.

I did the 5100s on my 2011 and we love them. We pull a 7000 pound travel trailer and it made a huge difference from the wasted rancho shocks. My question is what was up with the oil filter? Keep up the great video's!

Can’t go wrong with Bilsteins. I’m running Fox 2.0’s with a BDS 6 inch lift and dual stabilizers.

6.0 Bros I never ran Bilsteins. But I know everyone says they are an excellent shock! 😎 I’ve been running Fox shocks for about 5 years and absolutely love them!!

Billsteins are great! Have them on my 6.0L as well. Very smooth shock. Great video! An oscillating tool works great for cutting that bolt out, been there done that once.

No this is how they go. Altho8ght I have heard in the past that these shocks can be either way. I have seent hem both ways

Did you have any problems running the shocks for a truck with the two inch lift on a truck without a lift? I don't really like the yellow ones.

No ford apparently had a batch of oil filters for these trucks that didn't have a ought threads. I tried 2 different Motorcraft oil filters. Since then they seemed to have fixed it

6.0 Bros oh i know....i just did mine, ball joints, track bar, tie rod ends, hub seals. Definitely was a chore.

You charge the shocks before install or nah?

They come good to go. Gas shocks you don't have to do anything with. Now air shocks you can adjust with an air compressor and there are variable valves for some shocks but you just put these in and go

A lot of people think they do. I am not sure why although I have heard on shocks like this that it does not matter much however I prefer it this way

Unfortunately some of the footage I got had issues and was not usable however shocks are pretty straight forward i tried to at least talk people through it so they could at least have an idea. Do you have any questions i can answer for you. We do have videos showing work on certain projects and some where we dont for various reasons.

Thank you for the quick response. I am extremely interested in putting the bilstien shocks on my truck and was wanting to see if it made a difference in the ride height. I found another video with step-by-step installation instructions for the whole kit im looking at. Thanks again.

No problem I do try to have fast responses. Also always willing to help when I can. The shocks should have minimal to know change in ride height to the vehicle. I have been very happy with them overall though and I do recommend them. What kit are you looking at?

Dude it took me one hour to replace both shocks , I don’t know how you work , but this job was so fkn easy. Maybe took 45 minutes and I didn’t even take off the tires 😂

Recording a video and doing even easy jobs can add a lot of time. However as I recall I had to cut a bolt out and I didn't have the right tool for it. The other side went super fast. This truck was in rough shape when I got it and it took a lot to get it in nice shape
