1. Retiring day is just another day. There is life left over. 2. Relax and be stable about enjoying retirement money and time. 3. Starting another job means one has to take orders from young ppl. Keep your self esteem. 4. Wife is not retired, help at home. 5. Others life goes on routine, only you are retired and have time. Accept that your position is changed. 6. Do NOT buy attention/time by spending money. 7. Family does not change, but your perception changes.

Sir , you are always excellent. I am big fan of you. I have retired as top class one officer from CM pb office and always follow yours advice. On my retirement day , instead of giving party , I had organised a Bhandara (langar) for appx 500 persons near PGI and that gave me and my family a great inner satisfaction . Sirji, most realistic approach for retirement life ! Now a days retirement is a function like wedding. Badhachdakar bhashan dena, gifts , party ye sab chalta hai . Lekin eske bad vo officer keval ' Retired aadmi hota hai ! Baki ki ladai usne hi karni hai . party khanewale to phenach bhi nahi karnewale . so your approach is very realistic and eye opening .

Definitely retirements is extremely sensitive issue it more depends the worth you accrued from your job whether you have still liability like unemployed son Or divorcee daughter or any daughter still to be married without having jobs or any skill have you developed over the years now proper time has come to encashed definitely now a days high officials develops many contacts and private sector companies want to use it one may be honestly serving job many year may entangled in scams without knowing much probabilities are there best way to enjoy retirements are to travel glob or somehow get apprenticeship to spirituality because whoever you may be your relatives friends and chair and property will not with you for permanance retirements is first indication but Remuneration responsibilities and ambience give you little scope in this country this is the reality

Why people are worried of retirement. It is due to perception created by ourself and the society. The society highlights employee since it finds that working people are useful to them so it forces them to work and when one retires he now not upto their expectations and the retired person is without pushing force so he is now disperate.
