Hebrews 3:1-12
2 who was faithful to him who appointed him, just as Moses also was faithful in all God's[a] house. 3 For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses-as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. 4 (For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.) 5 Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, 6 but Christ is faithful over God's house as a son. And we are his house, if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.[b]
A Rest for the People of God
7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says,
“Today, if you hear his voice,
8 do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,
on the day of testing in the wilderness,
9 where your fathers put me to the test
and saw my works for forty years.
10 Therefore I was provoked with that generation,
and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart;
they have not known my ways.’
11 As I swore in my wrath,
‘They shall not enter my rest.’”
12 Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God.
മോശെ ദൈവഭവനത്തിൽ ഒക്കെയും വിശ്വസ്തനായിരുന്നതുപോല യേശുവും തന്നെ നിയമിച്ചാക്കിയവന്നു വിശ്വസ്തൻ ആകുന്നു.
3.ഭവനത്തെക്കാളും ഭവനം ചമെച്ചവന്നു അധികം മാനമുള്ളതുപോലെ യേശുവും മോശെയെക്കാൾ അധികം മഹത്വത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യൻ എന്നു എണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
4.ഏതു ഭവനവും ചമെപ്പാൻ ഒരാൾ വേണം; സർവ്വവും ചമച്ചവൻ ദൈവം തന്നേ.
5.അവന്റെ ഭവനത്തിൽ ഒക്കെയും മോശെ വിശ്വസ്തനായിരുന്നതു അരുളിച്ചെയ്‍വാനിരുന്നതിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്ന ഭൃത്യനായിട്ടത്രേ.
6.ക്രിസ്തുവോ അവന്റെ ഭവനത്തിന്നു അധികാരിയായ പുത്രനായിട്ടു തന്നേ; പ്രത്യാശയുടെ ധൈര്യവും പ്രശംസയും നാം അവസാനത്തോളം മുറുകെപ്പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാൽ നാം തന്നേ അവന്റെ ഭവനം ആകുന്നു.
7.അതുകൊണ്ടു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ:
8.“ഇന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേൾക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ മരുഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ചു പരീക്ഷാദിവസത്തിലെ മത്സരത്തിൽ എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കരുതു.
9.അവിടെവെച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ എന്നെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു നാല്പതു ആണ്ടു എന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ കണ്ടിട്ടും എന്നെ ശോധനചെയ്തു.
10.അതുകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു ആ തലമുറയോടു നീരസം ഉണ്ടായി. അവർ എപ്പോഴും തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്ന ഹൃദയമുള്ളവർ എന്നും എന്റെ വഴികളെ അറിയാത്തവർ എന്നും ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു;
11.അവർ എന്റെ സ്വസ്ഥതയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ എന്റെ ക്രോധത്തിൽ സത്യം ചെയ്തു.”
12.സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെ ത്യജിച്ചുകളയാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവിശ്വാസമുള്ള ദുഷ്ടഹൃദയം നിങ്ങളിൽ ആർക്കും ഉണ്ടാകാതിരിപ്പാൻ നോക്കുവിൻ.
