His singing has improved hugely since That's The Spirit and the way he demonstrates it in this EP is amazing, in this song specially he shows how much his singing voice has improved. I hate comparisons but, in his own way, he's becoming the new Chester Bennington, maybe he needs to improve his singing a little more, but he's on the right path for sure

It's obvious that overtime he has become much better of a singer, but I still don't get why this song is heavily autotuned for oli. It's all over, and I'd really like his voice to sound more natural

Yeah I listened to it and I see it but I definitely don’t at the same time. Music is such an expansive web of melodic flavors and words that you’re bound to cross them with several other songs. It sounds like a stretch to compare the two songs.. like to me someone was so bored to have found and made the comparison of the two songs. But I love them both.

@@haylie6642 dude it's almost note for note the same melody, to the point where when approached about it BMTH went "oops you're right, we must have subconsciously copied it" and agreed to give Evanescence writing credit. I can't get enough of the "AH" after "I let you sink your fang so deep" in 3:26 . Amy Lee is amazing! And so is this whole EP. This song is such a perfect way to end it. So stoked for the rest of Post Human! Idk how they're gonna step it up after this one masterpiece of EP but excited to see it
@Frantasia3 жыл бұрын
I get what you mean, and I kinda always die at her first "ah" as well, that sounds almost... cut off? Gasping? At least that's a sound I make when I have to stop a sentence because I damn well am about to burst into tears. And every time Oli starts loud and powerful and then just goes... softer, more vulnerable. They both exceeded any expectations there.

I wanna thank them so much for this song because for me it's not only about true lyrics but also about how this song holds the feelings i have when i think about climate change, this whole destruction we do to the planet and how soon we'll probably extinct... they somehow managed to transcribe my emotions into a song - this combination of feeling guilty, being sorry for things we've done but knowing its all too late, also this sense of horror because we wanna live but we can only face death now and there's no turning back.... seriously this is The Song I will take with me forever
