I love how this horse is responding to you guys, her ears, her expression, her body language all show that she is thinking and processing without being reactive, and is able to relax. That is amazing given what her background probably includes. I am so excited to follow this! Also, I am an RN and I would just like to say THANK YOU!!! Hello Fallon Taylor. I recently subscribed to your channel because I love what you do and we both have a similar story. I am soo glad you came back from your injury! My story is this...When I was 8 I did alot of ranch/cattle work roping and branding. I became a foster child when I was 11, was bounced around between 36 foster homes until I was 14 when I was placed on a small ranch with horses. I grew up with horses all my life. At this time, I didn't have my own horse but I rode my foster parents horses. My foster parents granddaughter had a running Quarter horse that she ran barrels on and roped off of. My foster mom one day came and picked me up one day from school and took me to see this absolutely gorgeous jet black gelding. She asked me what I thought about him, and the owner came and saddled him up, and told me to get on him. At this time I wasn't sure what was going on, but later that day found out mom wanted to buy me a quarter horse I could do rodeo/ team roping on. I rode this gelding 3 times, and the third time riding him, I ended up in the hospital with 95% chance of dying. The gelding I found out after the accident was castrated incorrectly and still had stud tendencies. The third day of riding him, I was riding him out in a pasture with broodmares in the next pasture. The gelding started crow hopping and acting up so I grabbed one rein to try to bend him in. When I did that, the gelding broke the bit, and set off bronc bucking. After the 4th buck, his front legs buckled, he landed on his chest, I went over his head, and he flipped over with the saddle horn landing on my stomach. After getting to the hospital and had all the tests done, the drs came in and told me I had 95% chance of dying because the horn tore my liver almost completely, I broke 3 ribs, one punctured my right lung, broke my right collar bone, my cheekbone and my right kneecap. I was told had I tried to sit up, I would have torn my liver completely and bled to death on the spot. I was in ICU for 3 weeks, and in a hospital room for another 4 weeks. When I was discharged, I was told I should never ride a horse again. Well, you know us Cowgirls, WE GET BACK ON!! I started riding again 2 weeks after getting out of the hospital and have never stopped. Now I am 35yrs old, and have a gorgeous APHA mare, her registered name is Leo's Sunrise Jet Lynx. She is my world. Sorry for the long message, I just wanted to let you know you have a HUGE supporter here and you are not alone! Keep on keepin on, from one cowgirl to another!

10 days post rescue and Dupe is already looking good!
