Helen Raine describes her mum’s porcelain doll collection as “obsessive”, with over 1000 in her possession by the time she died you could understand why.
Ms Raine said when her mum Joan Stewart, was leading up to the final years of her life they started making plans for what to do with the dolls, and the result was a not-for-profit museum in Mrs Stewart’s hometown of Esperance on Western Australia’s south coast.
The museum is set to be open to the public in the coming months.
