Such good times during that era. I lived in Mansfield (south of Ft Worth) and my high school girlfriends parents had season tickets. So my broke ass got to go watch them live from 1990-1994. It was a true thing of beauty to be a fan during those days and see Aikman, Irvin, Emmit, Novacek and all live and in person. Great memories.

Same here in Buffalo New York same story pretty much exactly the same such a great time to grow up in Western New York. Man I cannot explain to you how big of a Buffalo Bills fan base we were just so happy to be there in all four Super Bowls Western New York you can't find a team or deserving of a Super Bowl

Yes I have to agree. I'm a Cowboys fan and I live in Rochester NY, 50 miles from Buffalo. I love the Cowboys but I have to give Buffalo respect because they dominated the AFC for 4 years. They are the smallest NFL franchise but still compete with the large franchise.... much respect Buffalo but the Cowboys are America's team!!!

As a Bills fan, it's so crushing, but I also have to salute the C-Boys for their strategy to win. They got the Bills to play their game.

The Bills got pretty sloppy in the second half though, from Thomas fumbling (he even blamed himself afterwards for that) and Kelly throwing an INT to start the 4th. Not only didn’t they score in the second half but they got routed 24-0

The end of the Jimmy Johnson era after this victory in Super Bowl 28. And it wasn't the same for the Boys even though they were the 1st team to Win three super bowls in the span of 4 season, Barry Swizter didn't know how to discipline that team, 1994 they were good but upsets late in the Season to the Cleveland browns in Dallas on a Saturday then the Championship game in Candlestick against 49ers, even though they came back 49ers just dominated that game. Then 1995, they pick up Deion Sanders and lost of lot of good people like Alvin Harper started off very good early on in 1995 until they faced 49ers this time in Dallas and the Cowboys was favorites to Win that game but Elvis Grbac and the 49ers kicked their ass completely 38-20 with Jerry rice opening long touchdown then the Redskins loss in Dallas and of course " 4th Down and Dumb" game in cold Philadelphia which put Barry under fire , then got home field advantage thanks to the 49ers loss to Falcons which gave the Cowboys the #1 seed and came in the postseason pissed off beat the Eagles and packers got to Super Bowl 30 beat the Steelers, then 1996 was hanging on and karma came back completely with off field bullshit with Irvin sexual assault case with Erik Williams and Leon Lett suspended for one year violating drug policy all that turbulence came full circle when they faced Carolina in the Divisional playoff at Erriscon Stadium and beat the almighty Boys. Then 1997 it got worse by going 6-10 ending the Barry Swizter era. 1998 made the playoffs but lost to the 6th seed Arizona cardinals and Jake Plummer in Texas Stadium in the Wild Card game then 1999 lost again in the Wild Card game this time against Randy Moss Cris Carter and the Vikings. Irvin career ended in Philadelphia thanks to an season brutal injury and Dallas has not made the Super bowl since. Thank you Jerry Jones for ruining a great team cause of your big ads mouth and ego. But it will always be Jimmy Johnson's team with the Triplets and The great Wall of Dallas!!! Seeing these memories are great!!😊😊😊 HOW ABOUT THEM COWBOYS! And this was the last time for the Bills on reaching the Super Bowl and lose their 4th Super Bowl.

If Jimmy Johnson stayed then the Cowboys would’ve been the first to win their third Super Bowl. They will probably beat the Chargers in the Super Bowl and blow them out. The Cowboys would have won all the Super Bowls by the year 2000 imagine they would have future players like Ray Lewis, Terrell Owens and heck Drew Brees

Until Elway's Helicopter, the NFC had an aura and mystique of SB invincibility. Even though this was probably one of the least terrible games (BUF led at halftime, 1-score game after 3 quarters), the NFC had a Notre Dame-like big game mystique.

Yeah. By far the best games of this particular era were XXIII (49ers-Bengals) and XXV (Bills-Giants) by far, put them in any order you want, as long as they're 1-2. This might be 4th, because XXX (Cowboys-Steelers) was a 3 point game with 6 minutes to go in the 4th before the Steelers turned it over then Emmitt Smith scored late to put it away. Everything else was a 20+ point blowout, with 40+ point blowouts by the Bears and 49ers.

The 90's Cowboys provided the best backdrop for my life as a surfer living in Hawaii. I was confident they had what it took to win 3 SB's in a row... sadly, Jerry's ego screwed it up but with all those great players they were able to get that 3rd SB win a couple yrs later- and do it against the Steelers, which provided a little sweet revenge for their two SB losses to Pittsburgh when I was a kid in the 70's. Thanks for the memories.

By this time, it was all in their minds. I am a Cowboys fan, and the Bills were talented enough to win all but the Redskins Super Bowl. But by their 3rd and 4th attempt...they were their own worst enemy. They played directly into Jimmy Johnson's hands.

The first offensive drive of the second half is what defined the Cowboys offense. The touchdown run was vintage Emmitt. He broke the initial tackle his balance and vision got him in the end zone. I was in Marine Corps boot camp but watched game two months after when I was on leave.

The NFC's East defenses in the early 1990's were stacked against any AFC offenses. And those NFC's East offensive lines were built for the running game to keep Buffalo's offense off the field.

The Bills just couldn't overcome their turnovers. In the first one they had 0 and still lost by one. They lost because they just couldn't stop the Giants on third down and gave 2 clock killing touchdowns. 5 against the Redskins, 9 vs the Cowboys the first time, and 3 in this game for 17 points. You are just not going to win those games with you give up that much period.

I remember super bowl 28 I actually thought that the Bills were good enough to win this game. The Bills had a chance and were leading 13-6 at halftime.Plus Jim Kelly was playing so the Bills were a little more alive in this game. The previous super bowl Kelly got hurt and back up Frank Riech came in and tried to make super bowl 27 a close game but they a Bills got blown up.This game was a little bit closer but the Bills kind of melted down I the second half. The Cowboys took advantage of that and won by 17 points 30-13.

when jimmy johnson was hired by jerry jones he signed a 5 year contract. it was up after this superbowl. johnson was given almost total control on how to pick the players. that was the stipulation. jones and his ego said no to jimmys future demands for renewing his contract. and there you have it. the core of the team was still there for the third superbowl win in 95 but after that you know how the story goes. anyway still a cowboys fan for life.

I'm pretty sure Jimmy Johnson was really upset to the point to where he told his team "Get your head in that ball game" after the Dallas defense scored the Touchdown to tie in the 3rd quarter. After a touchdown I would definitely get upset as a head coach to tell my team to "get your head back in the ballgame!"
