shows it in action and its power, very impressive for a 12v 1100GPH bile pump. i have a 12v 35AH battery which will keep this bad boy going for just over 10 hours.
this is just a quick view of it working, perfect for cleaning cracks after your henderson pump has done its job.
I've also got another video if it broken down showing how it works exactly

Its called an auxiliary flow or infinity jet. But good job with the pvc version. Needs a hose to be able to tell how powerful it is with that pump... I'd use it as a nugget trap with a trigger for sniping.

That, my friend, is an impressive bit of kit. Great explanation how it all works too. Thanks for sharing. Atb Dave

If you install a venturi passed the inlet, you will increase the suction.

I made one easier all I did was took a 2 x 2 x 1 1/2 y pipe piece like you have and used a 2 x 1 1/2 down size end cap and rimed out the center to fit a 12 inch long 1 1/2 pipe inside it and glued it and left it stick out of the end about 3 inch and ran the pump hose on top and used a 6 inch long 2 inch pipe and 2 x 1 1/2 cap on the other end and a 4 inch long 1 1/2 piece on the other end it works like yours thank you for the input on your Idea it help me out on making my 12 volt dredge

I think I have figured it out. There are 2 pipes going into the centre plumbing 2 into 1 part. The one on the left is 40mm and only goes into the as far as it will go before hitting the stopper. The right one is 32mm.The 32mm pipe extends right through the 2 into 1 part and into the start of the 40mm pipe but only just. It looks to be a snug fit so he has cut notchs in the end to create the jets. The bilge pump pumps water into the 2 into 1 part and the only place it can go is through the notches into the 40mm pipe creating a venturi which is why when it is running the pump doesnt blow water out of the pickup pipe. Very clever design and I will be having a go at this. Have you put a hose on the end of the 40mm pipe to transport the gravel to a bucket or sluice and did you lose and power doing this? I have a 3500 gph pump just waiting to be used. Thank you KiltedJock1.

I'm must be daft, any chance of a tutorial? You explained it well, I just can't wrap my head around the inner tube/holes/depth. Thanks regardless, got me pointed in the right direction!

Very cool. From my research, what you built is a electric infinity jet (google it). I'd like to see the details of how you built it.

Absolutely. I made one with an 1100 gallon pump and it works marvelously. Check out his other video for more detail, super simple.

ive made exactly same and not work if you use longer drain pipe and when the pipe is not full covered with water
@KiltedJock1
@KiltedJock1 8 жыл бұрын
so yes that's correct it is to be fully submerged for the infinity jet principle to work that's very obvious.. due to the small electric pump it doesn't have the pressure of a petrol engine....however if you keep the rear pipe short and use it to clean small crevices under water it works like a dream

Kilted, I have also done some bathtub experiments at 2" intake. It is challenging. We can pull up a 1/4" SS bolt but have to get to within 1/4" of it. On 1100gpm bilge pumps got 2, one was 2.5 amps other 7 amps, although both rated at 3 amp, The 7 amp much more powerful and cheaper. What is the name brand on yours? Have you ever put it on an amp meter? If so what did it register? If you find a better pump please post about it, so for for the buck these 1100gph seem the bets we have found. Thanks for video.

right ok and do you have jets touching in the center if you submerge the pump only? where about is the small pipe touching is it just past or in line with the end of the tee section? and how much clearance do you have? send me pics of the inside to david_mcnutt@hotmail.co.uk
