Watching these vlogs is like having that second slice of cheesecake you know you shouldn’t have, but it just tastes so good going down that you can’t help yourself. Cheer up Mike. It’s called variance. A man with as much experience as you should be numb to such trivial beats. These reactions ladies and gentlemen, is the product of not saving your money during your younger years. Save your wins and prepare inevitable losses and they won’t tilt you like they do Mike. @@aiuser-fy2be Some of it's variance, but yeah he's not great. He needs to be more realistic about that. Assuming to himself he plays so great does nothing to help his game, it's bad for his game. He needs to look at his game with a top player who will be honest with him and work on it from there.

I can't get enough of Mike. He is the complete opposite of Daniel Negreanu's vlog. Mike is the modern day Sisyphus, the tragic king from Greek Mythology, whose punishment in hell was to roll a boulder up a hill, only to see it roll back down when it neared the top, repeating this action for eternity. Mike's punishment is to suffer bad beat after bad beat and then to roam the halls of the casino telling us about each one.

I played with Mike for lots of hours at the old 5-10 NLO8 table on Full Tilt (yes, no limit). We all considered him average, maybe not even breakeven at that table, which had several crushers. The real crusher there was Scott Clements.

Just go watch some of those old videos. I remember him berating people into folding. There were so many very weak players back then. Negreanu also built his bank roll on the same lousy players, he even admits it. If Negreau were starting now with a $10,000 bank roll, no one would know who he is.

He's been playing for a poker since he was a teenager. He's almost 60. It's not that easy to just change to something else, or another profession successfully at 60 years old with bad mental and physical health like Mike. He just needs to work on his poker game and work on himself. Let's wish him luck and hope he wins a bracelet.

Or just don’t play tournaments and stick to the private games with fish and make 200/300K a yr, saving most of it and retiring with minimal expenses in a few yrs.
