I have removed the antenna for few minuets only to show it is possible to test without antennas for short period of time for people who can not afford antennas. If you want to test long times you must use appropriate antennas. have already written in the video at time 8:52 line 7 which reads. “For in-house testing we do not need the antenna. If we do not use antennas, we need to switch the power off for few minutes every hour to cool the module. The reason is RF power will be returned back to module if no antenna found and it will produce heat.”

We can use this process without esp 32, only stm32 and lora module, uart communication protocol. Do we have a chance to program it via Arduino ide?

I have three videos in my KZfaq channel for STM32/UART LoRa using CubeIDE. They are video no -2, 22 and 56. It is better to use CubeIDE for STM32 at least in my opinion I am sorry to say I don’t have STM32 with Arduino IDE. Thanks

I was not able to get more then a few meters with a 3dbi antenna with powering from the mcu 3.3v. I powered with 5v and can get the distance I wanted (perfect connection from 5th floor to my apartment). Maybe I did something wrong or 3.3 is too little for these boards ?

Is there any way to access information such as signal strength between sender and receiver and also… in your example you are sending an integer … will it work with a string ?

Hi sir, how do we configure the LoRa AT commands together with an ESP32 using the Arduino IDE?

This type of Ebyte LoRa doesn't use AT commands. THanks

@@NizarMohideen we use a reyax rylr896 together with an ESP32 sir but it seems that we cant connect the module properly to the esp32 for us to be able to program it as a receiver

Hi, i have a question.. Does the Ebyte Sx1276 lora module work (send and receive data) without antenna?

Yes. It will work only if they are very close to each other. Not for long distance. I have removed the antenna for few minuets only to show it is possible to test without antennas for short period of time for people who can not afford antennas. If you want to test long times you must use appropriate antennas. have already written in the video at time 8:52 line 7 which reads. “For in-house testing we do not need the antenna. Thank you, i appreciate that. I didn't understand why does the RF power heat the module if i work without antennas?
@NizarMohideen
@NizarMohideen 2 жыл бұрын
RF is high frequency power that carries the signal information. If there is an antenna outlet, the power radiates to the air If there is no antenna outlet, the power returns back to module and over the time it accumulates. That is where the heat comes from

@@NizarMohideen thanks again.. the question that now arises : How will the transmission of data be done from module to another without antennas specifically without radiation of signal information?
@NizarMohideen

That is a nice question. Wire tracks on the PCB acts as some form of antenna for different frequencies. It also can transmit and receive a small amount of RF signals. But those small amount can not travel far distances that is why it worked without antenna. One more point: when we use antennas we have to use correct frequency antenna for that module. If we use mismatch antenna, full power will not be transmitted or received.
