@BucketListTravellers
@BucketListTravellers 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching! We have limited experience with the postal system here, however I did get a package delivered from Australia, albeit 4 months after it was dispatched! It was delivered to my door. I think though that generally you need to go into the local post office to check to see whether your parcel has arrived. You don't have mail boxes at each property. There are ways of getting online purchases delivered, however they are a bit complicated and there are typically large import taxes added on from what we have read. So long story short it is possible to get online things ordered, but it is complicated and can be costly!

@@BucketListTravellers Sorry for the long comment. Well as for Huevos de Toros, I don’t like them either jajaja 🤣 I am happy to know Joh that you both gained and grown to like the favours of Nacatamales 🫔 they do take time to get used to for foreigners specially when they first try these foods because they’re have never tasted these new favours (the spices that are used in many Central American and Mexican dishes is the achiote paste/powder which is red in colour) and is used in making Nacatamales. While on the topic of food, I read in another comment in one of your other videos about Nicaraguan food restaurants in Australia unfortunately we don’t have but the closest to Nica food is a Salvadoran and Central American restaurant in Camden (mostly Salva food) But some dishes cross over with ours and they’re also popular with their Mexican dishes. They also have the food truck called ‘Raza Central’ that goes around Sydney but you need to follow their Facebook page for location, time & dates, for all the info. Nicaraguan food is unfortunately only sold by word of mouth, I can let you know when they have them my mum used to make Nica food but she’s now much older and because making nacatamales 🫔 is so time consuming she hardly makes them now. I’m sending you the restaurant’s link of their Facebook page for you to follow them. Surprisingly, the restaurant’s owner is my sister’s childhood friend Laura or (Laurita as we call her) She will definitely treat you well and is attentive. Saludos y hasta luego! m.facebook.com/RazaCentral/

😁. Central America is an interesting place to live! Do you mean English as a foreign language? Not sure how it compares with Asia, but there is certainly demand for ESL in Nicaragua. There are English speaking call centres that support US companies based in the capital of Managua and the jobs there are very lucrative. The only catch is that you need to speak english very well.

Yummy and interesting, yucca at least known in the US would be cassava ... and the nacatamales are pretty similar to the Guatemalan ones though consisintency might feel like a polenta, it is more Of corn masa (same we make corn tortillas with ) corn that has been soaked in lime water (nixtamalization)*.plus added fats typically lard . (But my mom uses olive or grape oil takes hours to make ) So cool that you keep trying all foods and showing it’s crazy to see some of the similar things Nicaragua has with Guatemala (differences too ) and yes when I moved to the US I missed the street vendors though in LA you can find many many many hehe so here In France I miss that more ....

Hi Anthony, Thanks for watching. We agree with your sentiments. However tipping in a culture that doesn't tip skews the economy towards the services and tourism sector which can make people more vulnerable if tourism suddenly dries up, as it has in recent years. It can also inflate prices and make things more expensive for the locals. We'd recommend supporting locals by using the services of businesses that are locally owned and operated.

Sorry guys, most of the food that you are reviewing is some of the lowest quality and most toxic, specifically the combinations and just the food itself. As a naturopathic practitioner of 30 years you’re selecting food items that are leading everybody to organ and glandular failure. I’ve been doing this a long time. Why not review all of the fruit and vegetable options, what pesticides are they using if any, I love the family farms and home eateries, but in general what the Nicaraguans are eating is contributing to the serious health issues In the country.
