I’m sorry you didn’t explore enough Durres does have a lot more beaches which you could have explored but it looks like you were looking for free transport also 😂 Going to private beaches you have to pay but then you paid 500 lek per day or 5 euros for your food and most likely 20euros per night for the apartment so be grateful 😅

When it comes to anchovies used as condiments in nasi lemak, they're not dried but fried. However, different vendors use different types of anchovies. Some use large anchovies, others medium or small (~2.5 cm length). Large fried anchovies do tend to be a little bit tough to chew after they've cooled down. The best ones for frying are the medium and small ones. Anyway regardless of the size, they also have to be peeled apart, basically split down the middle by taking off the head and tearing away the part where their stomach, intestines, etc. are located and then split apart into 2 halves. All using your fingers. Then you deep fry them and they'll be crispy and juicy. They're naturally salty too so no need for salt for flavouring either.

Bankstown has been an stretch to far previously from where I live on the Lower North Shore, but I’ve just recently “discovered” bits of it, and I’m super-excited for the Metro to get there as my local station is only a 10 minute walk and then a direct train there! @@BucketListTravellers Oh, amazing experience! I loved every second of it especially because I love hiking and Meteora was on my bucket list for more than 25 years. I always wished to visit all 6 of them and always found agencies and organized tours that offered one or two of all 6. So I postponed it for years until a coworker told me she visited all 6 by herself. I hiked those beautiful mountains twice. First day I visited St Nicholas, Rousanou and St Stephen. One day break at the hotel by the pool, then another hike for St. Trinity, Varlaam and Great Meteoron. Both times leaving the hotel at around 7 30 AM and coming back at around 1 30 PM. I walked many kilometers on those high roads but that was the best oportunity to take pictures, videos and enjoy those spectacular vues. To be honest , I was planning to visit the closed one too, Ypapanti but the heat was unbearable and it was at least one more hour of walking from the Grand Meteoron. I would go back anytime. The only downside was the transport though. It took me 7 hours from Thessaloniki airport to Kalambaka (bus, train, 2 hours waiting, bus).
@BucketListTravellers

@@flowerpower7308 What an awesome effort! It is a much better experience being able to explore the monasteries in your own time rather than be part of the bus loads of people. You are right, the best photo opportunities are along the roads. We were there in early June and it was already around 30C, We'd hate to go at the height of summer. Thanks for sharing your experience with us, we're really glad you had an amazing time!

@BucketListTravellers
@BucketListTravellers 5 күн бұрын
We had no issues for 99% of our time in Nicaragua and were never bitten in bed. They are most active during the wet season (May-November) and that is when you need to be careful if you accommodation doesn't have sealed exits. We were in a beach villa once and I had killed 3 inside the villa in 4 days! Something to be mindful of, but not a big risk!

Very scarey! But you know when we lived in Sydney, I remember someone I worked with told me someone had crawled up to the second floor balcony of their apartment and had robbed them and scaled back down the balcony while his wife was in the shower. But for the 20 years we lived in Sydney, we never were robbed or felt unsafe. By the way, what was the monthly rent you had to pay to rent your house in Nicaragua? Was it like a 2 bedroom home in a gated community?
@BucketListTravellers
@BucketListTravellers 5 күн бұрын
Yes, there will be bad actors in any country you visit, you always need to be vigilant. We were in house in the city of Granada. It wasn't a gated community, but we had a good amount of physical security (high walls, locks etc...). We were very lucky with the rent that we had during covid and it wouldn't be fair to the owners to share the rates we had negotiated. If you contact Granada Property Services Nicaragua, they would be happy to discuss further with you. Thanks for watching!

Hi Guys great video! I have a question about the combined ticket. I know for the Acropolis you have a timed entry that you need to prebook for. However, with the other 7 sites, did you need to prebook a time slot, or just show up and present your combined ticket and they just let you in? I'm having trouble finding this information on the official website and with other youtuber's videos. I'm just worried that if I buy the combined ticket and I did not prebook a time slot for eg Ancient Agora I will be denied entry and therefore waste my money. Thanks in advance for your reply, it will be really helpful!

Was disappointed with the food being soooo expensive. $22 for a hotdog with cheese. $17 for a bucket of chips. VIVId really need to address the pricing as it's a family event and many families are doing it hard this year. $154 for a family to walk the Light Tour. The drone light show was anazing wiht the Opera House behind it.

Hi Mick, yeah we agree with you, the food is really expensive. You'd think it would be cheaper from a food truck, but it rarely is in Sydney. We thought the drone show was pretty awesome as well and we went on the first drone show night. The crowds were INSANE! It was really unfortunate that there were only 2 drone shows this year. We hope the organisers can put on more drone shows next year.
