Very interesting. Most of us can hit with the sweet spot. Tomaz of Feel Tennis Instruction pinpointed why we don't in his video, "How to Watch the Ball in Tennis": We look up just before ball contact to see the target or our opponent-that movement shifts the racquet enough to create a mishit. The video runs much longer than 2 minutes, but he says it took a whole season for him to "learn." You teach the same focus in many of your groundstroke lessons.

Thanks Niko! Just wondering if this is a really proven method or just an idea/hypothesis.

Great content thank you. Quick question Ryan, does the top spin pro reinforce more of a wind shield wiper type of action for intermediate to advanced players instead of trying to hit through the ball and get more depth with pace? This is something i struggle with in trying to use top spin pro.

you can use both techniques. to work on hitting more through the ball simply take the top shield off. thanks!!

I was watching like a hawk to see if you practice what you preach. Yes, your left hand is way above contact point. Nice!

Isn't the sweet spot for groundstrokes north of the center of the racket (middle top quadrant)?

Seems hard to hit the ball with the edge of the racket, eh? If only I could compete doing this... I'd be a pro in no time!

Ryan, do you still enjoy playing games after doing all these lessons every day or do you get burned out from tennis?

I don’t play tennis. I just teach. I find playing boring. But I love coaching. I can’t get enough of it. It’s one of the reasons I make so much content. Because after I make a video I feel fulfilled. Thanks!!
