@@shoulderpyro i assume there's gonna be scouts that use the wormhole/black hole as a sort of recon area to get a system wide scan, what will happen is probably that this will alert the rest of the illuminate and they'll FTL jump since they probably don't have enough "void ships" which seem to be special ships to travel through wormholes.. at least this is all just me assuming.

For the last time, the Illuminate are NOT coming. Invisible ships? Yeah if they are invisible, why did we see them? Anti electric armour? Yeah sure they are from the first galactic war, used to avoid fragging your teammates with electric weapons. Creepy sounds coming from black hole? It's a liberty damned black hole, you thought it would sing Super Earth anthem? For the last time, the Illuminate have been wiped out they are NOT coming

Except it’s not a black hole! Hear me out, a planets mass getting compressed into a black hole would be the size of a grape, there’s no accretion disk. It’s a giant purple … something. Compressed E-710, a planets worth… maybe it’s a wormhole, or a gateway

We are terrified, I’ve almost played the game for a week and at level 24 fought mostly bugs and now I’ve started to fight the bots and am getting folded so I am absolutely shitting myself at the thought of fighting the illuminates. I really hope they give us good equipment or squad size upgrades to fight them because otherwise we are screwed.

@@comicalgaming7689 Not even advancements. What we fought in HD1 were either politicians or their overseers, along with the equivalent of our society's hill-billies/homeless folk/university. I'd imagine after getting so thoroughly beaten by an inferior species and then waking up to a pissed off hornet's nest right on their doorstep would make them bring along their warrior caste as well.

Not gonna lie, I suffer PTSD after the most difficult and Intense Major Orders we've endured... it's was a very fun mission, but so many bugs, losing the drill many times, so many Shriekers flying all over, losing Hellsivers in seconds and reinforcements dwindled to zero... After Maridia became a Black Hole which is very rewarding....I visit there everytime before and after missions. It helps me recover mentally from past sufferings... Malevelon Creek, Automatons Invasion of Cyberstan, PSN Controversy, Supercolony infestation on The Umlaut Sector, Failing 3 Major Orders and losing the Anti-Tank Mines (it's meh but still), losing many Helldivers and now Maridia... And watching The Black Hole gives me the mental strength to continue fighting ...For Super Earth

Have you ever dropped an entire massive pan of spaghetti on the floor to have it just fucking explode? Sauce and noodles on every single surface. A 6 foot impact crater on the floor. Every single vertical surface in the kitchen is spattered. Your exposed toes and pants and shirt face and hair. Bits of sauce here and there. Some of it cold some of it scalding hot. There is no motion you are just frozen in place trying to come to terms with just how badly you have fucked up and how insurmountably godamn annoying it is going to be to fix this mess. That is the Meridian black hole, in space, for all of Mankind. This is Super Earth's fucked spaghetti.

I just wish the event was actually fun. It was a disaster, tbh. Apparently, the bugs spawning directly on the drill was a mistake and took until near the end of the event to address that. Also, fuck the arc tower. I hate it. Same with the thrower. All the guard dogs remind me why friendly fire is never a good idea with gadgets like these in the game.
