Hi Tim 😊Not sure if you see this but if so thanks for your teaching.... having heard you speak a lot now and I know you care about phrases and language. Please remember that cute little roman was in your lives from conception not just from birth. Just a simple phrase change can help people remember the humanity of the unborn child 👶 pro-life language is more truthful 😎God bless

I shared an office with "Russell" for 10 years. One day I said to him, "Russell, I want to talk and I know you don't want to listen. So, could you just pretend your listening?" Russell enthusiastically responded, "Yes! I can do that! I can pretend to listen!!" You see, I had a need to talk and Russell had a need Not to listen. So, my idea that he pretend worked great for both of us!

Remember when the people were grumbling for a king and YHWH gave them Saul who failed then David and his sons, not perfect basically failed. YHWH comes puts on flesh, Y'shua talks about the kingdom

A very well done teaching. I think I'd make a distinction between "creation" and "kingdom", though. God isn't going to restore this creation to it's former glory. The bible says that God will utterly destroy the old creation and make an entirely new creation. But the Kingdom? Yes, the Kingdom is partially here, overlapping the old kingdom, and it will remain, and God will restore it fully. EDIT: Also, when he actually gets into this sermon's real topic, he paints man's response to the gospel as something that comes from their own hearts. That SOME will be attracted to it in the same way that SOME others won't. That the response to the gospel (this is really subtle) comes from the heart of man, as he posses it. In it's current condition when it hears the words spoken. He actually reads the part where Jesus says "to you it is given... to them it is not given", and then proceeds to explain it like it is man's own response to the gospel. He doesn't make it clear that when Jesus says "to you it is given", Jesus is telling them that God has CHANGED their heart in such a way that it CAN respond. The accurate view of scripture is that ALL men hate God, and that ALL men are corrupt, and that ALL men are deaf to the gospel until God initiates the conversation by making them *able* to hear, by changing their heart. Tim should attempt to do this same sermon reading from John 6 instead of Matthew, where we find Jesus saying this (in response to Peter saying "You are Christ, the Son of the Living God"): "Blessed are you, for flesh and blood (ie, your heart) has not revealed it to you, but my father (in heaven) has revealed it to you." It's not YOUR heart (which means your mind) that responds to the gospel. It is the new heart, new mind, that God has given you that responds. Tim presents it as a gospel being presented to some people who cannot hear it, some people who are indifferent to it, and some people who are receptive to it - all existing in that condition from the beginning. Again, it's subtle, and hard to describe. But he is basically teaching that some people, in their natural state, are able to hear the gospel. But the bible teaches that God must MAKE men able to hear it. And that is what Jesus means when he says "to you it is given to hear", and "your heart didn't reveal this to you, my father did".

If this happens again, say "Would you mind awfully writing down the high points, and especially errands. I'm so frazzled these days, I'm known for forgetting." Which isn't even isn't a lie!

I am not TIm Mackie and this channel is not associated with him in any way. It is a warehouse for all of this teachings that are currently not found on youtube. Tim's teaching is changing lives all over the world because he is communicating the really good news and the way he communicates it is easily understood. And yes I believe the bible project is still located in Portland.

We are not living in any form of the Kingdom right now. The Kingdom remains in a state of postponement due to Israel’s rejection of Jesus as the Messiah at his first advent. We are living in the age of the Church. The Church will in no way usher in the Kingdom nor are we living in it right now. Jesus will bring in the Millennial Kingdom during his second advent at the end of the seven year tribulation when Israel will be brought into belief and enthrone Jesus as their king. Jesus or his Deciples never preached that the Kingdom was here or had come, they preached it was at hand (or near). Had Israel accepted Jesus as their Messiah, then the Kingdom would have been ushered in, but wasn’t. As Christians we are to act as ambassadors and heirs of the coming Kingdom. The Kingdom will be a very real reality on this earth as described through the Old Testament Prophets. We are simply not currently living in Kingdom conditions right now.

www.desiringgod.org/messages/is-the-kingdom-present-or-future It’s more that it’s both present and future. Earth and kingdom over lap through Jesus himself and the manifestation of the spirit in His followers. But the kingdom has not fully overtaken the Earth as it was before the fall of man and as it will be after Jesus second’s advent. They are still separated but not entirely. They are overlapping but not entirely uniform. It’s akin to a partial eclipse, moving assuredly toward a total eclipse. I think you’re dead on about it’s postponement, but it’s not completely absent either.

the only problem with your idea about the kingdom not been here yet is well, the bible. Jesus says otherwise. if you cant see it yet then it hasnt been revealed to you yet. it will

@@tumininu8086 Joshua is actually correct. Your view seems to conflict the Church and the Kingdom of God. The Church is unique, the Kingdom of God is not. The Kingdom of God was and has remained a geo-political earthly kingdom. Replacement theology substitutes Israel with the Church but that is not accurate. To replace Israel with the Church is to call God a liar. He made promises specifically to Israel (via Abrahamic Covenant), if He replaces them, He breaks His promises, if He breaks His promises, He is no longer God. The Lord and/or the Apostles never gave a different meaning to the Kingdom of God other than the one given in the OT...which has always been a physical, earthly Kingdom. It didnt just become spiritual because Israel rejected their Savior, it was just postponed. God can't use rejecting Israel, so He chooses to use the Church to spread the Good News. There is a universal Kingdom, which is Gods rule over everything since the beginning of time, yes the Holy Spirit does live within us now, but that's not the Kingdom, we pray "Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Why are we praying for the Kingdom to come if it is already here? Last I checked there is not peace on earth, the wolf isnt lying with the lamb, and so forth...so the physical Kingdom of God IS yet future.
