@@santiagograndas3414 - He's been a pro and surrounds himself with others who are pros or near that level. His practice sessions regularly are high intensity and test all aspects of the game. Your dedication is unbelievable. Your passion undeniable. You are a very good player. In the modern game i think you are more suited to a central defence or defensive midfield role. the wide back roles are conducive to more speedier players . the front 4 diamond positions which most teams favour now are generally more technically gifted players.

I agree. I think too many long balls are lost in games I've seen. I think his tight short and midrange passing, with his strong situational awareness would be great assets in defensive midfield or central defence.

Hey Matt, I have been playing with a decent u14 club team for 4 years now, and it has been fine, but just last season all the good players moved up to a different team and the 4 remaining players left (including me) got combined with the lower team, or second team. Our team is really bad now, but there is coaching where I can at least learn. I am thinking of moving to a higher level club but the coaching there is poor, in a whole session the coach wouldn’t say a word. Their main strength is physicality. Do you think I should sacrifice good coaching and style of play for a better team but more so rely on physicality?

Matt, I am currently a sophomore in high school, and I was wondering if it is worth going to Winter ID Soccer Camps as much as it is worth going to Summer ones. Also, I have recently started using a website called CaptainU to get in touch with college coaches more easily so I can get scouted but I can't tell if the website is 100 percent real, any thoughts or advice? Thanks!
@BecomeElite
@BecomeElite 5 жыл бұрын
Karsten Jonson yeah, winter ID camps are just as good as summer camps. You still get to play right under the eyes of the same college coaches. I went to three summer ID camps and two winter ID camps when I was in high school. I’m not a big fan of websites that help you reach out to college coaches. Just email the coaches your highlight video and CV directly yourself. Why involve a middle man and third party site that coaches might not even be on. Just email them directly!

@@BecomeElite Thanks so much for the information! Also if you don't mind, I am having lots of trouble trying to make a highlight video. Ok so before I start this I want to make a disclaimer, Please don’t send any hatred to the following channel I’m about to criticise, Thats not what I’m trying to do here There is a Formerly football vlogging channel that had a young man named Nick Humphries, an Australian who played At the highest as a semi professional football player in many countries such as Australia, Switzerland and the Netherlands according to his transfermarkt profile. He mainly played as a fullback and one of his first videos in the KZfaq scene was his currently most popular video to date, which was a motivational football compilation slash documentary about his story of failure at a young age and how he made the national team squads for Australia eventually, and how anyone can do the same. This sort of content is not a bad thing, this video has around 670,000 views and sparked many channels and videos tackling how to become a professional football player such as channels like Simply soccer, Will John and become elite which all have atleast around 200,000 subscribers. As I mentioned earlier, ‘Train Effective’ which is the channel name and eventually his brand name which i will get into later was FORMERLY a football vlogging channel about Nick’s journey to become a professional football player where he had training drills, daily vlogs and the 100 day challenge where he ventures on to a challenge where nick trained, learnt, networked, prepared, trialed, concluded and shared his experience as a young adult trying to get into a career he dreamt of which was of course professional football. This series blew up and gained Nick lots of recognition, inspired thousands of people not just wanting to make their dreams come true in football but in other things, Nick for me personally was like a mate i can listen to every few days he posts an episode, i watched every single video in chronological order and was heavily invested in the channel, i enjoyed watching another human being go through struggles and success and this was purely real and enjoyable content. Spoilers here but he eventually failed on day 100 where he never got calls back from any one of the trials and in day 100, something ticked in the back of my head, which started making sense. In the final minute of the final episode of the 100 day challenge , Nick questioned himself, (His video) whats next? ( focus on other things ~or~ keep going ) Nick here was a great portrayal to why most men aren’t successful and never will be if they keep the same mentality. Here Nick could have become his alternative success where he probably got a proper paying job and maybe a proper business for himself have a family and establish things in the world, but instead he is playing football in his mid twenties with honestly and brutally other losers just like him who have no sense of will and responsibility and selfishness in multiple parks in London. It has been nearly been 18 months since that statement and nick is still in the same place. Nick is in my opinion an insecure, imature and fraudulent young man who hasnt lifted a proper load once in his life and i dont mean physical ones but ones where has done a true mans job. I have spoke to Nick Personally on Instagram and created an imaginary scenario to test the way he might react and addressed to him many times about my two imaginary young brothers being misled by his videos and how his videos put my brothers off from school and family to train football and distract their focus. He has dodged every single question and kept asking me about my role models and even more distracting questions no matter how many brutal facts i fired at him. Nowadays his channel is mainly consisting of videos about player recruiting and brand provoking which is the brand ‘effective fc’ which have barely played any 11 v 11 matches on camera. The youngsters who join his ‘training camp’ allegedly paid £2000 for a few weeks in the Effective house. I am extremely baffled how this guy has managed to get that much business in and give advice to young people yet have no proper success of his own. I dont know if i can be bothered to write more about this guy but i would like to hear what you think. I haven’t watched a video in full since day 102 and that means stuff
