At least one person was killed after a shooting at the Fashion Island Mall in Newport Beach. The alleged suspects led police on a pursuit shortly after.

@@northernstar2064 no. it was not. 2 adults were arrested in a botched robbery. They went to rob a man and his wife shopping. The robbery went wrong and they ran her over with the car. The other chase you saw was 4 kids who stole a vehicle. Two different cars....different people, different advents.

This was an attempted robbery of 2 old people. The woman was 69 and is dead from being run over. 1 suspect ran and was seen shooting a handgun as he fled. No one was shot. One dead from being hit and run over by the getaway car. I love the way they try to frame it as a mall shooting on CBS and report so most would assume the dead body was from a shooting.

Then they led the police on a high speed chase on local streets including driving on a one way lane. At the end they arrived at some condo on Lincoln Ave. and the news caster even said they will simply get a slap on the wrist and all go home later tonight LOL this country is a joke!

It's related to the subsequent pursuit in LA county. The suspects let a couple of people out of the car and continued to Paramount, where they bailed on foot. There were no police behind them, but they had air ships overhead.
