Its in as big of a fiberglass enclosure as I could make behind that panel, roughly .65 cu ft ported out the side tuned to 32. I just have this to listen to when I take my U15 out when I go on trips and need the cargo space

And by the way im doing 147's with my single 15 on 3k

@@bigredd27006 this guy is insane if he thinks a 8 is louder than a bigger sub of same power rating . Sounds good bro going bigger in the box wouldn’t increase the output as much maybe 2db at the tuning but that’s maybe lol

If your gonna keep that 3k I would recommend 4 SA 8's.... if your going 4 X8's I recommend a 5 k amp

@@bigredd27006 man you are the first person to even entertain answering my questions, and I appreciate it. Is there that big of a difference between the x series over the SA? Like is it worth the extra say 4-500 for the X

@@HardHeadMilitary yes, there is a big difference.... if you like the low lows, definitely go X series, but if you like it to be a little more punchy and musical go with the SA, plus the SA's don't need as much power as the X do.. . Just depends on your preference.

@@bigredd27006 im looking for some heavy bass, maybe it wouldnt be a bad idea for 2x, and 2sa. My JL w-3 have a good kick in my back, but its not enough. I figured 4-8” would do me pretty good. I just do not have any experience with them at all, and everyone and anyone has different views on the matter. My buddy just ran 2-12” x and hes only got the same 3k amp as me and those things are deep, hes also in a cadillac and that tank absorbs so much its ridiculous. Is it a bad idea to mix the subwoofers like that? Going SA and X

@@HardHeadMilitary you can mix the subs if they are in different enclosures and hooked to different amps but I don't recommend it.... you can do 4 x's on the 3k it will push them ok but your not going to get the full potential out of those subs till you get over 1k per sub.... I have 1- X15 on a sfb 3k @ 1 ohm.... look at the other videos on my channel

@@2fast4you20 I had an sa15 that I just upgraded to a U on an sfb 3k that I listen to most of the time, this gives me something to listen to when I go on trips and take my main box out when I need the cargo space.

@@bigredd27006 you can overheat the sub by not giving it proper space, the air the sub moves helps to cool it down. 🤷‍♂️
