Great conversation. We need more of these on a regular basis. Love the cicadas whirring in the background, too.

Reading The Bible alone outside The Church is like trying to do physics alone without learning from a Physicist. I would even argue reading The Bible alone is harder than learning physics alone because it takes a being outside ourselves inspiring The Bible.

At 4:10, here’s one better. A common premise upon which atheists argue is that the world has always existed. When you point out that matter must have been caused, some ask, then who created God? They’ve then contradicted themselves. They were committed to the idea that no cause was needed on their side of the argument, but quickly changed their argument when they were disabused. That violates the law of non contradiction. They lost the argument.

Similar to Thomas Paine writing “Common Sense” during the American Revolution. There were better writers and philosophers but he was more controversial and loud (if you will). Enough to do some good, but ultimately his ideas of government were flawed and unacceptable to the Founders.

Who is better than them. Who gives the best argument. Granted this position that God does exist. Specifically the same as they discussed. Who defended him best and his claim as supreme Good and His expectations for your beliefs to line up with Him.
