The #1 time to bowhunt whitetails during the early season my surprise you. Why? Because it requires a good deal of patience from you, by making sure that you are not hunting during during low potential sits. There are often many low potential morning bowhunting opportunities that can severely diminish high value evening sit bowhunting opportunities. The #1 time to bowhunt whitetails during the early season is during the evening - and here is why!
To make sure that you are taking advantage of all of the best times to hunt during the early season, you need to check out my web class, "How To Design Your Whitetail Parcel", at www.whitetailh...

Shot the Biggest buck of my life last night. Nice mature Northwestern Ontario 10 point. Evening sit over a food source. Shot him at 20-22 yards from a ground blind. The wind was perfect. Did my homework and had daytime photos from mid August. Love the videos Jeff. Thank you for sharing your passion. Good luck!

Just bought 45 acres a few months ago. Put a feeder out temporarily, property is covered in mature white oaks, nice creek bed, berries all along the creek bed. Put out 5 cameras around the property. I have a 4, 2 1/2 year olds bucks running together in pairs (non shooters though) and about 6 mature does, few fawns. No shooters yet..... wish me luck lol thanks for all the videos !! I’ve learned literally so much

Fog rising at 1:38 in video is a graphic example of how thermals can affect your hunt and stand setup.Great topic once again Jeff and i would add not to let over anxiousness ruin your opportunity.

Almost gave me the answer I've been looking for. I hunt in a narrow relatively sharp valley, swirling wind in the valley. Ag on one side and it wraps around. Never really have a good wind so I'm never sure when to hunt it

The sage grass is over waist high around my plot I’m goin to take a stand to put on a huge white oak bout 20 yards from my plot. It will make the perfect stand place cause of leaves and cedar trees between where I’m setting and my plot. If they come across the back field I’ll be in great shape for the plot. Great video brother be safe and GOD BLESS and good luck to y’all this season Amen 🙏 GOD BLESS

Hey Jeff. Love your videos. Extremely helpful. Question… You’ve talked about how you plan all of your hunts and sits and know exactly when you’re going to sit at specific stands. Could you do a video describing what that process is like? I’ve seen your videos on hunting according to Weather, could you give more insight into that process and how you use the weather, wind, etc. to determine what stands you sit in and when. etc.

The property I hunt is separated by a country rd. The deer tend to feed on one side in the evening and bed on the other side in the morning. It makes evening hunts great but I typically have to wait until rut to hunt it in the mornings

Another great video Jeff Man I'm already getting discouraged. Seems All my deer have disappeared. From my primary hunting hill/location. I know you said there's lulls. And I'm hoping that's it. But I have found a bear and some bobcats have moved into the area. Maybe they've been there for awhile I'm not sure just really started using cameras this year.

Hey man I really enjoy the videos. I was wondering if you think using a flashlight while walking to your stand would push the deer away. Just on a low setting or green/red mode.

Always on my mind, how do I get into a hunting location without spooking deer, then how do I get out, without spooking deer. Some setups only allow one or two chances before a mature deer knows you are there and it's over for that particular spot and that particular deer, especially on small parcels where your choices of ambush spots are very limited.

Whent out on my first bow hunt last weekend had a doe walk in my dad didn't reply to me before I could shot and it was small anyways. We have to bucks the fight and I have a deer target that I saw a four corn was going to attack in my yard so we put it out and I use my crossbow. this weekend I want to bring it into 20 yards so I can try to shoot the buck with my bow.

They will if it is appreciable and not covered up by too much snow...most of the time not much in the north 1/2 of the country, but that depends on many factors. Clover ranks low on a quality food sourc from October/November to March in general.

Chasing giants with Higgins posted a video say the only way to kill the biggest buck on your land is eliminate human intrusion. He bashed some of your talking points saying even the slightest human intrusion on your land scares deer away. Thoughts?

Gotta be in the stand to shoot the biggest buck right? Hes done it year after year after year. Knowing where to put the stands and when to go into them obviously works. Not sure what Higgins is bashing... But I'd say Jeff does just fine in his quest to shoot the biggest bucks on his lands. We'll see if he gets Neegan or one of the other bucks this year on his Mn property. If he does... Id say he tactics are rock solid and Higgins can go pump sand

@@myronlaidler8034 yep. Higgins reasoning. The #1 reason human intrusion. Shows a picture of land stands on outside on snack dab in the middle and line going to it. Don't spook deer off your land with human intrusion. Gee thanks captain obvious! Lol. Jeff needs to build another room on his house for more buck space. Watering holes dont work this don't work. Haha. Well he said it himself. Theres some good info out there and some really bad too. Jeffs is pretty good id say and well... Mr higgins knows what his is. Anyone barking now is just copying others that have been in it for lots of years. Jeffs been at it long enough and has all the info out there for others to copy.
