No not really, if you go back most 4 cylinders v6s 8s 10s 12s all sound the exact same only on a handful of specific cars do they have a unique noise, thats one of the biggest problems i had with 4 compared to 5, 5 still has it, but they also have multiple different sounds for each motor

That and in 4 arguably, most of the sounds were complete dogshit, and they just re used the same exact sound for the w16 from the Bugatti, if i remember correctly. V8s sounded like you were just rapidly slapping 2 wet newspaper rolls on some concrete

i absolutely loathe the sound design in the game. like genuinely, the game is fantastic, but the sounds alone almost want to make me turn it off. it’s only slightly better than gta v in terms of engine sounds, honestly
