In the initial analysis by Proudy how many of those losses did Morgan actually play in? I saw games in which the starting lineups included Davidson, Pugh, and other non-starters.. As an example

Looking at the starting lineup in this game: Smith, Davidson, Sillivan, Pugh, ... So when people complained about the team's record during this period, lineups varied. There were backups who help their own against Germany, for example.

The result it should be U.S. 6 and Danmark 1. The assistant referee didn't ratify the U.S. the goal that went over the line, it should be a different result. Ugly mistake by referee.

Alex got it because she has the most caps, since Becky wasn't there and Lloyd didn't start, that's how the US does it nothing special about it

And Morgan gave the band to Lloyd when she came in. But, to the point. I don't think Rapinoe wants the gig. She's too freelance in her thoughts, to her credit, mind you. As long as she's in there, she's content...as am I. One of my all time favs. Although, this game, she was average.

baeyzl lzyead I just thought it was who ever has the most caps if the captain isn't starting... but Morgan did the right thing when Lloyd came in because she is suppose to wear it when she is on the pitch... but I'm sure if they ask Pinoe she will do it...

Oh, I was just adding to and backing up your play (Lloyd blows anyone away with her 247 or so, caps), ha! Yes, if asked she'd do it...no one would refuse it. I just don't think she's gunning for it nor cares about it. I would like to ask your opinion on why this game wasn't started by Franch!!?! Why is Ellis hell bent on keeping (ha) Naeher in goal? She's a spaz, over reacts and makes poor decisions. Not saying this goal against her, was her fault. Still, she flailed blindly for it after it passed her almost even sliding into the post...head first. Are her eyes open when she dives? Bad decisions? Have you noticed how every time the ball comes to her with pressure behind it. She either boots it out of bounds or gives it away via a long ball. Solo did this too...they forget they're goalies! They can pick it up! They're like, too lazy to bend over and secure it. Easy peasy. Solo did it because of her ego, Naeher does it cause she's stupid. 9 of ten times she gives it away. She got away with bad one in this game. Any deflection from the oncoming attacker and it would have been another Denmark goal. All easily avoided by catching it and dishing to a USA player. She really irks me and we'll never re establish our dominance with her in there. NEVER!!

oh gotcha... lol.... Well I really don't know why Jill is always starting Naeher, I guess she is our number one but how you haven't tested anyone but Naeher and sometimes you let Harris start... but I want to see what Franch and Campbell do, last year Franch was the best goalkeeper in the NWSL but that might have to do with Portland's back line but I want to see what she can do with a different back line and the best in the world... Same with Campbell they must be doing something right to get called up... You never know who is the best until you try them out but Jill wont do that for some reason... do I think Naeher is better than Harris yes but I don't know about Campbell or Franch... But that is just like when Hope was our goalie Jill never let anyone else be in goalie .. But Jill needs to start having the same line up, but we both know that Heath will be on it.. but who else would be on it... (when everyone is healthy) this one be mine another goalie Abby, Smith, Becky, Kelley Julie, Andi, Mewis, Heath Pugh and Morgan

The shot that Pugh took around the 7:05 mark should have been a pass to Morgan, Pugh decide to shoot not pass and it cost us early goal her other shot swere great but this one should have been a pass

Chris Radovan you should change it to 13:50 of this video. Easy to click and see it that way. True, hard to see her through the defenders, but yeah she didn't get much on that shot, so the pass definitely would have had more of a chance.

There was no passing lane, through ball or direct or lob pass. Taking a shot was totally fine, regardless of the outcome.

Chris Radovan now that I look at it again, I think it was a pass that got deflected towards the goal by the defender, which is why it looks like a fluff shot.

Agreed. She collected, turned and a quick shot would be the best choice there as she didn't have clear sight of Morgan or time to lay it in front of her. It took a deflection, but, was still weak. A crisp shot with Morgan following for a rebound would have been ideal. Can't win 'em all.

But, I would agree there was some tension surrounding her 2nd goal. Denoting a potential conflict in respective roles. Both Morgan and Rapinoe (she was jumping up and down waving her arms for it) wanted a pass and seemed miffed when Pugh took it. Then it went in and they're like...oh, okay. Even Pugh seemed less than thrilled that it went in. No celebrations on that one.
