Throughout the last 2 years we’ve been developing many highly customizable tradingview strategy scripts that can be turned into trading bots.
Since then I made 47 optimizations for them focusing mainly on cryptocurrencies.
But creating an optimization that has a nice equity curve is not enough.
In many cases optimizations are overfitted or overoptimized meaning they wont be profitable on live market data.
That’s why we’ve been monitoring all of our optimizations on live market data, to find out which ones are overfitted and which ones has true potential.
Today I will go over the last 1 year of performance of all of our optimizations revealing the profits with a goal to find the best strategy optimizations of them all.

seems like it would be more beneficial to re-run the strategies with no fees to calculate them with fees. also seems like rather than profitable months and trust factor, relying on equity curve analysis would do much more for the general direction and trustworthiness of the strategies. also I think trade count of 30 is still pretty low and not statistically significant, need to be in excess of 100 to start getting significance. And drawdown also in the 20-30% range is rather high.

Thanks for the feedback! Re-running the strategies that was optimized without fees seems like a great idea, but probably they won't be that profitable. About tradecount yes it's true 30 is a bit still low. What I did not mention in the video, is that I checked it on the 10 minute and it was still profitable (the 0045 optimization) with 88 trades, that's why I consider it the best despite it's low tradecount after optimization (obviously before optimization backtest range it has much morre than 100 trades, but that is in sample data). Actually it had a drawdown of around 9% (cause of the original position sizing) with a similar performance to buy and hold, but I increased the position sizing to 2.5 times the original (this is also showcased in the video) so the drawdown is around 20-30% and that's when it well outperforms BTC.
