hello, this is a much improved version o the first time you showed this. i guess a little fiddling with the needle can go a long way. the look is definitley cool and the sound is actually adequate for what it is, fun and unique little record player, thanks for the update review, take care.

You aren't wrong it does look very cool. Personally every slide in player I have had over the years have caused me trouble so I tend to avoid them. Just my experience.

Wow! That Smokey Bear record looks like it spent it's life being played on one of those acoustic kiddie record players that used the steel needles.

I can think of some artists that the player would surely gladly eject,as soon as they were inserted.....Lovely to see this working so well now,....

Cool device! Looks like it would be very easy to turn into a "car record player" by mounting a cheap Bluetooth transmitter board inside then tapping into the 5V and line out signals...

Does it have auto-stop and/or auto-eject at the end of the record? I doubt it myself, but that would be handy.

You can add the Teac Japanese needle. I'm going to glue a slipmat on mine, and protective felt on the slot load mechanism. It also seems possible to get below 6G tracking force with the 2nd hole. I'm going to try spindle inserts in my 45's to see if wow and flutter is reduced.. We will see...

I bought a retro orange one as a centerpiece for my dinette set. I have a bunch of old beat up 45's and it plays them well :) I have not played styrene on it yet until I make the modifications. I paid 22 bucks on a one day 50 % off sale!

Seems like the Dunhill/ABC Record company made something like this but naturally no Bluetooth.

Ya can probably hack a rechargeable 🔋 battery into this unit, if a factory original is 👎 no longer available. I really 👍 like that David Brubeck song "Take 5". Quite pitiful that this machine ruined your record of it. Sounds 👍 like it may need a tuneup. It sounds 👍 like the belt(s) have survived the 40 years, or whatever age this record player is. ⚙ Gears probably need to be cleaned, and re-greased. It's probably the cartridge tearing ☝ up your records. It's old, and 👎 no good. For the stylus, I'd go with 💎 diamond. As far as the cartridge is 😟 concerned, I'd ☝ upgrade to moving magnet. Sounds 👍 like ya may have a broken spring issue, if this record player can't play records vertically. It's probably a spring pressure system that holds the tonearm against the record in any position. Could also be a magnetic system. ☝ Upon insertion of the record, maybe one magnet is supposed to be on top, one on the bottom, "clamping" the record securely, while spring pressure works simultaneously with this, holding the tonearm securely on the record, 👎 no matter what the playing position. Maybe one magnet has dislodged, or stuck to the other magnet, or one magnet is lost. I 👍 like the "M", on the top of your record player, as well as its light blue color. 😆 LOL!! Ya should re-name it "The Record Launcher". 👍 Yes, it does a very thorough job of it. Just be careful 👎 not to scratch your records by doing so. I don't understand why ☝ upon insertion of a record, the tonearm sometimes sits down on the record, in the middle of a song. A ⚙ gear may need replaced, or the belt(s) might be 👎 bad. If you have to modify something to make it safe for it's intended operation, it's not good. Awful, overpriced, useless product. Dont like to be this negative on KZfaq, but this thing is so bad that it should never be recommended or encouraged.
