Arcane vigor seems really strong imo, the combo of shat star + free disintigrate + 15% from Essence burst talent is a lot of easy on demand damage...i have a hard time passing that up.

May I ask why you take Unravel over Oppressing Roar? Unravel seems terribly niche, good against AMS/Cocoon, but maybe I'm missing something. Whereas Oppressing Roar -- even nerfed to 30% in PvP -- can be pretty huge for big CC chains.

It can definitely be great in more controlled environments like 3v3 i just find so much value with it all the time so many classes have shield mechanics and if you shattering star unravel you can eat the shield and continue to crank

Why are the top evokers still going for as much mastery poss and not the 30% haste u suggest? I see max 15% haste on some of them... asking you for a final confirmaton before i spend my CQ and crafting materials on haste/vers etc, thank you

Mastery = Burst Haste = Constant damage

Don't you like the 4th charge empowered spells? I see my fire breath is not hitting that much with only 3 charges

I have always used font of magic, however the only difference in damage is the burst from tip firebreath. which is not that much plus they nerfed mastery into the ground so its not worth anymore, with a higher haste build you wont even notice the difference.

I remember in Season 2 I joined a SS once with aug gear (25% haste) and tried the talent that disintegrate increases 100% tics of fire breath and it felt like a feral with frenzy, in addition living flames jumps more often. It's quite a good consistent damage tbh. Ty for the guide buddy.

Love this guide and loving devastation Evoker Right now! I am currently having a good time in PVP. here is my current breakdown at 487ilvl (PVP). I keep getting people that talk crap that I dont have enough Mastery. Here is my break down: Haste 35%, Mastery 34% and Vers 32%. Thoughts? Character Gemi-Antonidas

So the lowest I would go mastery wise is 50%, play higher if you are running with a frost dk in 3s for maximum burst pontential. Right now i have 66% mastery. In solo and in every other comp I shoot for 30% verse 15-20% haste and the rest dump into mastery.

@@josiahcuckler4405 yeah as i tested more i noticed i was lacking damage by not having mastery. Took me a little bit to figure it out cuz they nerfed mastery by 20% going into season 3 but the numbers i gave you is what you should aim for 👍

Any real caster will stomp you and abuse their 40 yard range to make your life hell but most people arent that good, against casters i like to disintegrate behind the pillar to try and take that edge away from them whenever i can

its in a decent spot. 1v1 pretty strong against most things, you do a ton of damage. world pvp about the same, overall pretty enjoyable to crank with

So I used this guide for my evo and notice something was wrong with your haste over mastery assessment. Mastery isn't calculated into tooltip damage at all. This was pretty easy to test and I did so multiple times. So yes, tooltip damage goes down but having big mastery over haste seems worth it to me.

Yeah this was made when i was still trying to figure it all out. I run 9-15% haste 30% verse and the rest all mastery. I have about 67% mastery currently.

I found the sweet spot is 15-20% haste and the rest mastery. More mastery if you are playing 3s with a frost dk for maximum burst.

follow all this only to have it not matter at all because dev dmg in pvp is a joke....negated by interrupts and every class has a magic defensive and self heals that out pace the dmg dev can put out unless we are allowed to stand there and free cast...dont waste your time in Arenas as Dev.....
