Its a 13% buff. Disintegrate damage increased by 33% in PvP combat (was 20%).

@@vancewalton6438 It's a nerf, the actual big damage wasn't disintegrate itself but rather the eternity surge proc which benefits from their mastery, that mastery is now going to be nerfed yet again and in reality the buff to disintegrate is only 13% not 30% so the big eternity surges are gone and the spec is left with nothing.

@@Limon517 they keep nerfing their mastery to the point it makes you wonder why it even exists lol, it's getting nerfed AGAIN in 10.2 and it's just going to get to the point where you just spam disintegrate as much as possible. They did a horrible job with evoker which I guess is not shocking because the dev team has no clue how to balance pvp.

@@Bitchlasagna69 Yeah, balancing devastation for blizz means "tweaking damage". Meanwhile if you follow everything that was ever said on youtube, twitch and the forums since the start of S1, you'll quickly realize nobody cared about damage tweaks and all the buffs people asked for is 60-80% of what they gave to augmentation. I still remember a blue post going "Devastation has difficulties recovering from burst damage" before nerfing ancient flame around 10.0.5-10.0.7 which made a lot of devoker lose their mind on the spot

A lot of the stuff he is talking about is the eternity surge proc from Disintegrate, not Disintegrate itself. The buff to Disintegrate doesn't change the damage on the Eternity surge procs, because the eternity surge proc is based on the actual Eternity surge spell. They are nerfing mastery next season, so this change seems to be for that, but I'm not sure why they did this change so early. aka, the power from the dmg isn't from disintegrate, but from eternity surge which was already doing that much damage before this change. imo, the mastery part of evokers needs a nerf (which they are doing next patch anyways, but needs to be nerfed more in pvp), and moves like living flame and disintegrate needs to be buffed. This will stop the 100k procs from the disintegrate, and make the damage come from casted spells, which is something that can be predicted and countered unlike instant cast and procs.

That's the issue though, is that without that mastery they will do no damage, like you said Disintegrate base damage is an absolute joke and 30% more of nothing is still nothing. They designed the entire spec around this mastery and that was the mistake, they only thought it seemed cool and ignored all the problems it would cause, absolute clown devs as usual. This is another case of Ret paladin, this spec will always be busted or absolute garbage, not in between ever.

@@Bitchlasagna69 I agree with the current design being bad. There is hope for a better design based less around mastery, and more around casted spells. Blizzard seems to be going in the right direction next patch with nerfing mastery and buffing all of our other spells (similarly to what they did in the start of 10.1.5), but I still do not think it is enough for it to make a big difference in PvP. Sadly until they fix the mastery issue with dev evoker I'm not sure I will really play it much anymore. I'd love to have more opportunities to win games outside of my CD's :/

So why are they still bottom tier according to Skill capped and every other respectable pvp source? Hint, its not their damage, its their kit. They need a rework, not DH.

DH rework isn't even a rework from what I've seen, it will basically feel the same and possibly be even worse than before.
