This fight is my lowest parse as well. I hate it so much. I can never seem to find a spot to plant myself.

As a newer disc priest who is sort of figuring it out now... Its extremely important to know when the damage is coming. Correctly timing your ramp and dps burst is so critical. The worst thing about the council fight is getting your ramp done and then you get turned into a duck. Super frustrating. 😂

One very important thing is to leverage your instant cast abilities to move. If possible, move only when refreshing Purge the Wicked, casting Penance, Power Word: Shield, or Power Word: Death. Some who play primarily healer might not think about this optimization as much, but if you play DPS this is essential.

Rhanyra here- i know the DBM timers are on the right side of the screen by default. I never knew how to move them until someone told me in priest discord. I dont use those timers anymore I use the "raid ability timeline" weak aura it seems to work better for me. But I love that you coach these videos. I re-watch my own videos soemtimes and im like "....WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? PRESS EVANGELISM!" lol gotta say though, I do not like this seasons disc priest. Having to constantly spam smites.. I want my old tier set back. With my instant radiance.

So a question, if you know big dmg is coming out, do you radiance before so the atonements are out as it comes out or do you radiance after the dmg comes out. In short is the heal from radiance negligible?

Can you do this for Fyrakk? it's kicking my ass on heroic, I manage to kill it but my healing output is the lowerst of the group as disc priest

Soooo what if you slam so many smites that your squid is up before your double radiance? Would it be worth it to apply some singles and then drop the squid to essentially spot heal with it? (Assumeing I could have squid back before anybig damage)

I'm always debating when I should be casting Halo. During Shadow Covenant it's much stronger and can be woven with Twin Disciplines, but at the same time you give up a Smite for it. Do you tend to find the 4/8 second (Mindbender/Shadowfiend) CDR lost from casting Halo instead of Smite is usually worth it, or is this just a case of having to gain more experience to know if those 4/8 s are a significant difference in various situations? I've been doing science and literally just never using Halo to see how it feels, and overall I think I prefer weaving it between Smites during Shadow Covenant; I don't want to build a bad habit though. I see a lot of other Disc priests only ever cast Halo when not in Shadow Covenant right before starting their ramps.
