I just love Windwalker. The combo sytem, the amazing AOE damage, its speed, ring of peace, the big blue pumper, the coolest when you divide yourself in 3 guys....and the best movility in the game!!!!! Just LOVE It

I agree with the enhancement take. It’s a fun play style, but it’s been the same since S4 of Shadowlands. I’d appreciate giving the physical build some more light just to switch it up. Also, kinda wish lava lash was optional. What if I want to use a two-hander?

A counterpoint for Arms, I think it's incredibly satisfying now. Execute as a way to build up a massive Mortal Strike is incredible. In execute range, you can have the magical scenario as follows: 2 overpower buffs, 2 execute buffs, avatar, colossus smash and a crit on the Mortal Strike. When this happens, it feels much better than any big execute crit in the past - it requires work, timing and a bit of luck.

I love ret paladin, its not all about damage, can do a lil heal for yourself or for a party member or lay of hands or bubble the healer. Remember cant dps if u r hugging the floor 😅

These are some wild takes. Windwalker is super fun right now and I am loving playing it as an alt. I love the rotation. I am maining Fury and also loving that, the lack of utulity sucks but the way the spec plays is super fun. Both S tier in my opinion.

I’m a AOTC 3k IO 483 DK main with the legendary axe and man the classes dps specs are hurting. You nailed it with frost, it feels like an amalgamation of all the worst design choices it’s had over the last 10 years and regardless of your ranking I out UH right there with it. Both specs have what is essentially melee rune of power with DND and as UH defile will actually block you from seeing mechanics. Both have short duration maintenance buffs that you must kept uptime on in order to dos and both have absurdly strict rotations with zero wiggle room for variance. For example as 2H frost you have to have a separate macro combining your pillar and generator/spender abilities or you’ll lose 6%+ output. UH AoE is all based around maintaining a buff to make your dots tick faster but you need the buff up before applying the dots for full benefit so every fight is the same. Soul Reaper for 2h frost is brutal to use since they have a tight enough rune economy and it costs a rune to put up making it honestly not worth the talent point and in ST unholy is entirely front loaded with burst on a 3min timer. Both are a clunky mess that even if you dedicate the time and energy to mastering will put up lack luster numbers to many other specs such as rogues and Shaman.

i hadn’t touched my Monk in 3 xpacks. he’s now my S3 main. absolute blast. would recommend. the clunkyness is subjective i think it flows between attacks perfectly. t31 buff was necessary but i love WW

Idk, WW is probably more B - A tier imo. The hit combo build and having your buttons set up to support that feels very satisfying to execute. Like playing an instrument almost. A lot of other dps end up feeling a bit more spammy because there is an objective best button in a given situation. But monk hit combo. The best button is to keep on the rotational jam, maybe changing the tune but never spammy. Solid tool kit for when you want to be on the Roll~

Alright, I'll bite. I main sin and I don't think it's S tier. For context, AOTC guild, 20ish keys, so not pushing the envelope. In raids it's great, but in M+ I find Kingsbane clunky to use outside of bosses, as trash dies before it can really ramp up the damage. And if you have a tank that chain pulls (or on spiteful weeks), relying on vanish and shadow dance to spread bleeds is a PITA. So while it's fun, there are also some big frustrations I have with it that would put as an A/B spec for me personally.

Clunky is not the word I would use to describe Windwalker. I would argue that it has probably the most fluid and seamless rotation in the game. The problem is that it scales like shit and Faeline Stomp is a blemish on an otherwise fun and fast paced spec.

How do we fix SV? I love it but CA and the macro is ridiculous. So playing noCD build feels like I'm missing a big piece of the puzzle.

The most fun I had with Unholy is Festerblight and then Necroblight playstyles :)

Even though fury isn't very thrilling gameplay it is always a class I come back to. Alone for the Titan's Grip transmog options. But just smashing stuff and going warriorbrain-mode is actually super fun. I'd rather have it be a solid placing in the upper third of the charts than being just the meta. I also have a decently geared rogue but in PvE I just cannot enjoy rogue anymore. Not saying it can't be fun for some but it just isn't for me.

I mained windwalker last season and switched to outlaw. I still love WW but agree they need a rework. I think what would be fun is maybe some sort of combo system similar to fighting games. Keep the abilities (tiger palm, rising sun kick etc) but some sort of burst window could be introduced by activating your "limit gauge" and doing combos Punch Punch Kick, Kick Punch Kick, etc and you could do some sort of finisher depending on your combo or maybe a juicy self buff or something.

Bro the same with Arms. I’ve always played and loved Arms Warrior since I got stomped by a human arms warrior in full s3 gear in a wsg. This current iteration of Arms is the least fun I’ve ever played.

Funny - my favorite melee is Windwalker... I do like Assassination cause of the poisons. I tried the Shaman melee but ended up playing him as resto cause I prefer Shaman healing to Shaman melee.

For a melee dps, survival hunter only has one melee attack with their weapon beyond FOTE, which is a CD. This is the biggest problem with the spec and keeps the fun-factor down. Throwing bombs is... a thing? More of what I would expect from a rogue versus a hunter. Would prefer to see thoughtful interactions like tar trap/flare that we saw in Shadowlands.

I have mained Havoc since Legion, and Havoc currently isn’t fun AT ALL. They really messed up the way the class plays.

Enhance is hands down the best melee in the game for fun. Ele blast hitting for over a mill is just the shit! It's only issue is it sucks to be capped at 6 targets.

I simply cant manage to play dps in pvp... I even slept on a few occasions in LFR lol The rotation seems so boring compared to pvp were u choose wich skills to use at each second. But i wanna try next season.

Outlaw requires way too many Weakauras to play effectively, and ever with them it's still a chore. WW does need a rework, but the gameplay is so smooth that it should be higher. I think the rest is pretty good.

Ele blast on enhancement probably seems unimpactful to you because you are not using it correctly with other abilities. The entire playstyle of enhance is using your abilities to make themselves or other abilities stronger. Enhance is the most fun to me because I try to get the biggest ele blast possible, which was 2.138 million damage on mythic Nymue without a damage buff from outside sources. Also having 2 mil crits on ele blast, 1.5 mil crits on pwave lb, and 500k damage on lava lash and frost shock crits are something that definitely feels impactful when done correctly.

Rogues are the top 3?? hmmmm based hahaha I agree total with DK, they are fun, but some rework could help them a lot, it is such an iconic class, they deserve better. The WW I desagree, the spec is super fun, they could work better on talents and balance in general, but the flavor and gameplay are on point!

Loyal frost dk main aka arthas fanboy. They just need to change our aoe being dependant from DnD.. whinle pugging its struggle to aoe when tank is not BDK. Then you just overlap your DnD to his and he prolly wont kite anytime soon. BUT if with friends who understand that when i put DnD on the ground its time not to kite like headless chicken if not needed to, you will be best and tankies dps. Otherwise i like frost very much. In raids BoS slaps. Just need to have some minor changes with aoe.

For me, Arms and Frost DK fall under the same category. Why the F does the spender of your power (Execute, Froststrike) deal so less dmg than other abilities. WTF Blizz. That doesn't feel rewarding, when the spender does no dmg or less than the builder.

Rogue rework is great for outlaw. I think they had a big miss with the other 2 tho. This is one of my hot takes, but i think energy as a resource is annoying, frustrating, and useless. They should make it like they did with mana for casters.

I finally gave up on warrior during Dragonflight. It sucks and it's not fun to play. I loved fury in shadowlands and wish we could go back. It's literally a two button spec right now and arms warrior is fun to play but then you're one of the worst dps specs in the entire game and working twice as hard for no dps or utility. I made a hunter and the game is just so much more fun. I don't have to deal with any of the melee problems and I do twice as much damage. Also I can actually help with the affixes instead of just being useless.

survival being C tier is wild. It is the most fun spec in m+ hands down

if you think doing no damage is fun to play then yeah, feral is A tier

enh. shamans have currently 12 active dps buttons in a priority list.. Bm hunter has 3 and does 4 times the amount of damage.. thats not fun.. at all.. rip shamans

Arms main (doing 26+ keys right now) here and can confirm its pretty much not fun to play right now. The tier set is extremely crap in comparison to S2's tier set bonus. I dislike the fact you need to put a greater care which mobs (in aoe situation) you attack (so that your tier set bonus starts to make sense) .For S2's tier set bonus you needed to build up your "Mortal strike buff" stacks but if you positioned well it did quite a lot of extra DPS and was effortless since it didn't care what is your primary target, etc. Last 26 BRH I was doing an almost perfect run and still couldn't beat a BM Hunter who made several bigger mistakes (370 vs 323 (me) vs 280), at least I outdps-d bdruid. The only small issue is that we compare our overal output to top tier DPS numbers, not what is on the same level or below us. I don't have legendary yet but it wouldn't change much considering numbers are pretty much disappointing based on logs. Then we have the "huge variety of builds" where we have the bladestorm build which is somewhat satisfying but hard to pull off its true potential with pugs (which often don't share route so you can hope that some extra mobs will be included in some certain pulls) or the FoB build which I honestly despise. As much as I hoped the tier set will rock our ST it's also quite meh. I run keys on my higher ilvl alts with arms warriors (had multiple players around my score ) and their ST is similar to mine. Naturally it can mean that we are all doing something wrong, but when I check streamers and their numbers match in ST scenario. When I play retribution it is honestly satisfying. Yeah obviously it has "Arms warrior sickness" but its just popping. The worst thing is that I tried fury and while it does better ST than Arms it's even more unfun to play. At least I honestly don't enjoy the current rotation. I wish Arms was fun. Honestly :(
