Great video man! I just broke 11,000 rounds through a Gen 5 KKM prototype comp that I got early March. I love the thing. Stock recoil spring and I shoot 124 gr ammo. Haven’t had any problems👍

I have become a fan of PMM compensators with one on a G19 and one on a Baretta M9 clone, they do take some time and patience to get fitted but the results are worth it. I am not sure if it was luck or skill but the M9 comp fit so seamlessly that I was a bit scared it would not permit the slide to go all the way forward. One of the more compact comps out there.

Great video brother, the Weapons Armament Afterburner is nice. Ports are all cut right into the slide and barrel makes sense. Your absolutely right about it being spendy though.

Great video. Digging the straightforward format. Marketing has definitely overtaken knowledge in the digital age. Speaking of other comps, you should test out the Zev comp. It has an attachment method not seen here. It's compression style attachment so you don't have to fiddle with Rocksett or and other thread locker. I definitely agree with you on KKM as being super soft.

I really liked your video. You went over a couple that I didn't know about. I just got a polymer 80 Glock 17 clone and I'm thinking about a comp. idk haven't decided. I really liked how at the end you recapped for those of us with short attention spans. By the time you got to your 2nd runner up I'd already forgotten who your winner was lol

May be a old video but still appreciated for relevant content on compensators. I still carry G19 but more so my G48 mos . I wish Glock bring Compensated Glocks back out on Generation 5 . Yep. Those copper slivers can hurt if hit you so eye protection is a must.

i have the kkm barrel and carver custom 2 port comp.significant reduction on the muzzle rise, i have G17 gen3. i always use 124g any brand will fire, not on the 115gr though,it always jam, does not complete the cycle.good video.keep them coming

Thank you for this video. I’ve been on the fence about the KKM Barrel an comp. I know it’s the best but it can be finicky. But it’s the best so it is most likely but I will go well. And then have my back up barrel just in case

I got the Suarez Street Comp complete slide and its awesome

That war slide looks like a great budget alternative to the agency arms noc. U buy a 19 mos, sell the slide and plates separately and that upgrade is a net cost of 600 bucks or so that's pretty great for what you get imo

Hey Hilton! Congratulations on retirement. I like the new format and appreciate you taking the time to share your observations. I'm curious about any increase in muzzle flash with the comp's during reduced lighting. If you could address this question in a future video, I'd really appreciate it.

Always make sure your weapon is reliable by real testing if you modify it to include a comp or ports. Recoil powered slide cycling can be affected by recoil energy being redirected with these devices. The slide may not cycle back far enough to eject, reload, and recock the hammer/striker.

This video is outstanding. Very well delivered and straight forward. Looking into the PMM and was curious if it affects reliability. I want to shoot anything I can throw at it reliably.

9:35 Interesting. I'm running a PMM Glock on my G19 and I have had no issues with it coming loose, and I've sent over 500+ rds through it. When I installed I used a liberal amount of loctite, so perhaps that was your issue or maybe ammo? I've been running Winchester white box 115 gr FMJ 9mm and it runs like a dream.

So.... the griffin carry comp is basically a good alternative to a thread protector? lol

Regarding the G19Cgen4, I do wonder if/to-what-extent ammo selection can play a part in the debris spray. My only Glock which is comp'd/ported is a G23gen3 which is "Magna-Ported" (got in a trade) and I've not noticed this debris-spray issue. Much of my practice is with FMJ ammo, however, and I don't shoot the Winchester Ranger 180 gr. RA40T often. I'm thinking FMJ bullets won't be peeling off as easily as JHP bullets. In fact, some of my practice has been with steel-cased .40 probably doesn't even have a jacket as much as a plated or dipped jacket coating to my understanding; 'just thinking out loud.

That's the best video on the topic I have seen so far. I am not so much into competition shooting, I have a Glock 23 with a threated lone wolf 9x19 barrel for cheaper training. Since I have to handle the threat protector when changing the barrel I figured that I could install the Griffen Armament carry comp with no extra efford, it would look nice and would make shooting a bit more pleasant. But I don't need it to be very short or leightweight and an impact on reliability is no big problem as well. Are they any other (e.g. longer, heavier, more effective) compensators available that have no "orientation" and just threat on?

If the back of the comp is flat would it thread on to any barrel of the correct thread pitch? For example, a comp designed for the glock 19 should fit on a cz p10c, correct? Just like a suppressor should fit both? Thank you, sorry if this is a stupid question lol

I really want to add a comp to my Glock 17 with a TLR 1 HL. What comp would you recommend that would sit near flush with the same height of the TLR? I’ve searched google but can’t find anything. Even browsed picture threads. Mostly just 19 pictures rarely any 17s with a comp flush with the weapon light.

I dont understand why a compensator would rob energy from the slide. I thought the slide acquires all its rearward velocity before the bullet is out of the barrel.

If my biggest concern is reliability of cycling and ejection, would you recommend the Griffin Micro, or do you think I can get away with the Agency 417 or Spark even when running low power 115gr target ammo? As you mentioned in the video, I don't want to get into changing the recoil spring. Thanks!

Man I don’t know what’s going on with your particular 19C but u should send it back to glock. I literally have about 100,000 rounds down various C model glocks. 19C 17C and 22C’s of every generation in which they were available. Please see my match and training videos. Never not even once has something come back and hit me in the face nor eyes. Even with close retention shooting under high speed match conditions. Compensators were the reason I switched to the c model glocks. With compensators I HAVE had stuff and jackets come up and hit me in the face. I’ve also has baffle strikes. Nevermind the headaches of messing with the springs to get them to run right. Sometimes that’s not even possible. Send ur 19C barrel back to glock cuz I can say with 100% assurance that there’s something wrong with ur copy. C model glocks offer all the benefits of comps without the drop in reliability. Try a mod K build as well. Integral porting for glocks is always better than screw on comps that also make the gun longer. Great video though. Send that barrel back!!

Hey there, great vid! Question.. I have a Sig P365 that I am looking to put a comp on. Currently Tyrant Designs is the only company that is making a comp for the P365. Parker Mountain Machine said that they are making a comp but it’s not out yet. Do you know of anyone who is currently making comps for it right now? Suggestions? Anything that you like a lot? Thanks! Seeing as I've only recently ventured down the rabbit hole in the past year and a half so please excuse the ignorance but isn't there a saying with Glocks, "Always fit the part to the gun, never the gun to the part, meaning you should ONLY modify the part until it works and NEVER the guns frame or reciever! I'm pretty sure that's why they make replacement parts LOL
