Just got mine in today. I'm using it on a p320 platform. This comp is hands down one of best I own. Especially in its class of micro comps. Worth every penny. I've spent hundreds of dollars on comps trial an error. I don't normally rant like this, but I'm impressed with the product to the point that I want to promote it if I can. Thank you for the review.

@Marian Slepecky I've never owned a stock recoil spring for my p320. I use a dpm recoil spring.

@Marian Slepecky I’ll let you know later next week, I have the mk2 coming in today for my hellcat with true precision barrel. Apex trigger and holosun 407k x2 . I use this as my ccw so I’ll be putting at least 500 rounds through it on Thursday to ensure reliability. All the reports I’ve read says no need to change springs. So hopefully that’s the case. It’s quite a bit smaller than a standard comp so it probably doesn’t vent gas as aggressively which is why you end up needing to change springs.

@@iainh.2503 really good, 0 malfunctions out of around 600 rounds so far. Definitely reduces recoil by about 25-30% and keeps the gun much flatter. Install was super easy. I think the extra weight out front makes the pistol balance better as well. Very happy with the comp.

Does that little bit of clearance between the end of the comp and the slide matter much? There was a tad more clearance with the GA comp. Just don’t want the comp to hit the slide or anything like that lol.

HI Hilton, Great video, thanks. Have you seen and or tried the MK2 version of this comp? Looks same but has a couple more smaller vents I believe. Just wondering if the MK2 gives any improved recoil reduction vs original version. I think the MK2 is the only one they are selling on their website currently.

Another universal comp that looks very interesting is the tyrant unicomp. It's particularly appealing because it also does not require set screws or loctite to apply. Video? 😎

Excellent video. On my first V3 plate from CHPWS I used blue loctite and ended up breaking the head of my bit off inside the Allen screw and had a rough time getting my RMR off. Did you install the CHPWS plate a per the newer instructions with the clear nail polish on the top of the screws? I recently did that with mine and marked them with a paint pen, and noticed they loosened up with 75 or so rounds through it during a range day and off-duty qual. Not sure if I can recommend it for agency use yet, I went back to the MOS plate for now.

Hey man, obviously I'm not Hilton, but if you're having issues with blue loctite you may want to switch to VibraTite. It's meant to keep fasteners from vibrating loose but will still be removable and even reusable for a few removals.

Hi there, I have a Walther PPQ Q4 Tac. and would be very interested by this comp. . It seems to be efficient & easy to install. Compared to the PPM, recommended by Walther, how does it run ? Tyrant Unicomp is appealing as well, but it looks far more bulkier. Is it possible to have a feedback after 2 years of using it, plz ? Thx :) .

How does it compare to the Griffin in size? I understand from your episode 1that this probably out does the Griffin by quite a bit in performance but on a carry gun size does matter so that's why I ask.

That appears to be a Glock clone, so this one or any of the ones reviewed in Episode 1: Glock Comps might fit the bill.

When you install this, did you have to remove the o-ring that is already installed on the barrel?

Yes. It's kind of self correcting, the O ring will squirt out the sides if you don't remove it first.

@@108Performance yeah I did but I don't remember you making a direct comparison to any of the other comps that you have besides the kkm. I currently have the PPM compensator and I'm wondering if I should switch out of it to this one.

Bullet has left muzzle already so effect is minimal.

+ 108 Performance Two questions Mr. Yam, Could you try this Comp side by side on a Gen 5 Glock 17 and a Glock 45 with Glock OEM threaded barrel? Interested in any loss of reliability with Ball 115-124 gr factory new American production brass case ammunition. Second question, what compensator gives you the greatest reduction of carbon fouling on an X300 U series light lense? Loving these lab series btw!

I don't have those pistols...but the comp is so small and light that there's no difference in reliability. Keep in mind that a G45 *is* a G19 on top...which is what is in the video.

Just ran 500 rounds through this volker comp mk2 and a true precision barrel. Works amazing, 0 malfunctions, no nose dive, returns mid line super fast , felt like a full size .380. 100% recommend.

How do you feel the Volker compares to a Glock 19C ported barrel?

Perhaps slightly more effective, and the blast doesn't throw jacket frag like the 19C can.

Thanks for the reply. So to field strip you obviously have to remove the comp, meaning I now need a vise to conduct a basic field strip? Or can a wrench and some minor torque allow a field strip?

Roswellian Future For a *full* field strip you’d need a vise and tools to remove the comp. However, the barrel with comp installed will tip forward far enough that you can brush the feed ramp and run a bore snake through it. The comp will have to be considered a semi permanent install - it doesn’t come off every time you’d do a normal field strip. You just have to work around it.

I keep having failure to feed issues with multiple different kinds of ammunitions is there something I can do so that the guns more reliable

If the gun was reliable before you put this comp on it, then 1) remove the comp or 2) use a lighter recoil spring

I had to go with 13lb recoil spring and a 4 lb firing pin spring.. that solved my issues

I assume you need new a washer and shims every time it comes off and back on? How many does it come with / do they supply and sell them alone?

The spring washer is very sturdy (it’s like an AR-15 style) and the shims are also contained inside the threaded collar, so it is unlikely that you’ll need new ones. I uninstalled the setup once and the shim was undamaged.

It's bigger and heavier, so it'll be softer. But with that weight you likely need different springs. This comp requires no spring changes.
