If someone doesn't have the ability to use a spoon, they aren't going to be able to assemble a gadget with a bunch of small fiddly parts. If they actually wanted to make something useful for ppl with disabilities, they would make it in one solid piece that could be placed over the mug.

The ONE amazon must have I ever bought, was a mini battery powered milk frother. I've never frothed milk with it. I'm disabled and it saves me the effort of stirring, whisking, mixing, and many things. It's the simplest design, you stick a battery in and press a button, there's only 1 part, a metal whisk that sticks into the plastic motor part. Got it 4 years ago. Got a resuable USB chargeable AA battery for it. Except I didn't buy it on Amazon. I searched it's name on ebay and got it for £2 second hand :D remember, people get sick of these "must haves" quickly so if you really want one.. there are so many of them 2nd hand

Brilliant tip. I like to watch videos on fashion, to get ideas, then I keep a list on my phone of what I want and look for it second hand. It's not the exact product, but it's similar and gives me the aesthetic that I am looking for. Today I am head to toe in second hand clothing 😊

The "temu trend" here of buying as much crap as possible has been annoying me so bad. I even got mostly temu crap as christmas gifts... stuff that I can't seem to find any way to repurpose and know if I donate it its just going to sit there till its landfilled.... My best choice is oft regifting to children who will get a kick out of it a bit longer than anyone else.... It doesnt seem to matter if I say don't get me gifts, or that kind of gifts. For a few years I said "return this" in spite of that making me feel like an asshole.... I can't say that anymore because they respond "its temu I can't" or "its not worth returning" if its not worth returning, why oh why did you buy it? as a *gift* I got a lot of plastic trash to figure out what I'm meant to do with it.

I asked for a shelf for my cabinets to layer my mugs so I can fit them better (VERY small kitchen. I have 2 sizes for each person in the home, one big one small. Many handmade by a family member...) And my mom got me a piece of plastic on temu. I'm using it now because I have it but its ugly and flimsy and I would have thought if you were gifting to someone you would get something just a bit nicer....
@xerrias

It makes me feel bad because its meant to be a gift, something nice. But I just feel like what I care about and like is ignored to get the temu crap cheap "new" solution. I say all the tine I prefer thrifted. If she gave me the same thing, though, and said "I found it thrifting for a buck!" I would be like "Thats awesome!" even though its ugly and flimsy. Would have preferred something metal or wood or at the very least sturdier plastic that isnt going to fall apart so fast.

Funny story abt containers. My sister wont use solid bar stuff, so when she asked for new shampoo and conditioner I got her one with big pump containers. Why? Well bigger is less packaging but the real reason was so I could refill them with solid concentrate (you mix with water to make the soap). Luckier, the ink came off easily so they're just big white bottles I relabled. Its stupid to just buy containers, I use bar products, but I managed to get my sister on something a bit more sustainable by doing this. Which is nice.

Why would I want a shiny see-through plastic cutting board when I can get a wooden board as well? Every plastic cutting board that I have seen being used, sooner or later got super ugly scratch marks and you better don't ask what sits inside of them. When my wooden board is too scratched I will have my friend sand it, then wax it … and it will be as good as new. And when it gets too thin, it will go into the next campfire I am invited to. By the way: wood is (as far as I know) much more "anti-bacterial" than plastic. Even if you can't put it into the dishwasher. And I will not sleep in a giant (poly-dont't-ask-which-plastic) dog bed, thank you very much! Not even my cat would!

I don't understand the point of a scrunchie tower. I think it would actually be rather annoying to use. What if the scrunchie you want to wear is at the bottom? You'd have to take all the other ones off to get to it. Or what if you're trying to rotate through them? Then you're having to take all of them off in order to put the one you just wore at the bottom, or you're just leaving the worn ones in a pile next to the tower, to be put back on when you reach the bottom. I think a lot of people would probably just end up wearing one or two favorites all the time, that they keep at the top, and the rest would just be taking up space. It doesn't make any sense. And the toilet seat handle is also completely pointless. Anything that is stuck or glued onto a toilet seat will very quickly become just as dirty as the toilet seat itself. More dirty actually because dirt and bacteria can now collect in the crevices on and around it, and on the adhesive used to stick in place. If you're that obsessed with germs, just clean your toilet regularly.

But one thing that really got me was the latte art thingy, WHY is it battery driven?? You could just make something that essentially a pipette to suck up some dark coffee with and then a narrower nozzle to stick it into. Then you'd get a nicer, smoother result squeezing the bulb. Plus it'd be less resource intensive and, if care was taken when picking the materials, it'd be easier to recycle at least.

that human dog bed does look comfy but realistically how often would you use this though? it looks like one of these kiddy swimming pools but made with soft materials. i have a body pillow, if you like the feeling of snuggling up against something i highly recommend them. they help me with disabilities and pain but they are so cosy as well to snuggle with. with a nice blanket on top and you are done. no need to a buy a whole asss dog bed for yourself that's- really something else. that scrunchie tower thing looks like a toilet paper holder lol

I was listening to this video while doing laundry and at first I was like “I LOVE my scrunchy tower” but when I saw which one you meant, I was like “oh yeah that’s silly”. The one I use is the kind that you can pull out scrunchies from the side. I absolutely love this video and I so agree!

I feel like a lot of 'Amazon Must Haves' are specifically wild so that people click on them. Then, they may forget (particularly on web) they've accessed Amazon through the affiliate link and then go on to buy things. The creator then still receives commission because it was bought through their link. (Unless Amazon have changed the policy, because I know that's how it used to work)

I'm sorry but I love the human dog bed and I think the washing mashine turtle is more handy than a mostly very big basket 😮 But you also could use a bag or a silicon basket as well. 🤔 But the dog bed...it looks sooo cosy and it's much more moveable than a heavy couch! 😊

When I was a kid growing up nobody had matching furniture. Our families bought or were gifted long lasting , well made furniture. Often it was bought from 2nd hand shops. I remember all glass bottles were returnable to the shops for a deposit (like pfand in Germany) and its a more recent phenomenon that everything is in single use plastic.

I do like the human dog bed because my couch is harder than a board. My mother-in-law gave this to us because our cats don't scratch it. Haven't you heard of, "being in the dog house". When you have a fight with your husband. And you have to sleep on the couch if you don't have an extra bed in the house.

I wrote a long comment following along and then the ads at the end deleted it so summary😅. A lot of these products are of no use to me personally. The scrunchie tower along with most ways to visually store them looks worst than my current method (which is also not perfect and v chaotic). I think the human pet bed is at least an improvement to the previously air up ones because they WILL pop. I'd rather just get my guests a fold up mattress. The bathroom aesthetic is so funny because I'm NOT the target audience. It's gotta be more useful than my second hand, upcycled take out container for my bar soaps, nothing's beat it so far 😂. A bath towel does the same thing as the turtle. With a low dryer I liked to use my long skirt since it was already there.

In my kitchen I decant into glass jars from charity shops. I also every so often decant in the bathroom, because I want a pump or because its prettier or more luxe: I use previously emptied bottles. It would be clueless financially and counter-productive to buy amazon crap for this purpose. My washing up liquid is in a blue glass neals yard pump bottle. Despite being glass and falling into my enamel sink every so often it never threatens to break

Before I started watching, my immediate first thought was 'probably going to be helpful things for disabled people that are going to be looked at as wasteful and useless'. But I'm horrified by the actual products in this video. These are actually useless and cost more work than doing it the normal way? The only thing that might be helpful would be the toilet lid thingy, though I'm already assuming it's barely going to stick and is thus useless again :/ I'm very intrigued by your videos and I'll definitely give you a follow!

Okay. Have to add another point here because while most of what you're saying makes sense and is very critical and useful, as someone with OCD, the idea that i might have to touch a toilet seat, especially in a house I share with family is puke inducing to me. And sure I can use a resuable napkin instead of this product till I get over my discomfort but this product can help. And while the latte pen is certainly very resource intensive, if it adds joy and value to someone's life during tough times, I think it could be worthwhile to look into more sustainable ways to make it. Like maybe a reusable latte design sheet?

I'd never buy it, but when I saw it for the first time, I wanted it. Badly. In a blanket fort. But I also had a bad case of envy as a child, because my grandma's dog had a really giant basket with lots of old pillows and blankets to sleep in. It looked soooo cosy but my grandma had made it very clear that this bed and the metre around it was no go-area for everyone but her and the dog (who was a sweet old lady who really needed her safe space when my grandma had visitors). Maybe those dogbeds just speak to my inner child.
