Yes indeed, Azmi! Files might get very big with many snapshots, but they will be saved in the .afphoto-file 👌🏼

Hey Tryst! You can always check out Brusheezy. Otherwise I've got custom IAMRENSI Brush Packs available in my store as well. You can check them out here: academy.iamrensi.com/p/brushes

Hi I’m new to affinity photo. Is there a soft brush in affinity photo like the basic photoshop one? I’m having some issues getting use to this program.

Hai. Where is the asset come from? How to make asset? Thanks
@IAMRENSI2 жыл бұрын
Hey Rudy! Thanks for watching. You can make assets yourself. However, can't explain you how that's done in one comment (I might turn it into a tutorial in the future). An updated version of the asset pack I used in this video is available here: academy.iamrensi.com/p/creative-with-animals 🤙🏽

What is the difference between saving a selection as an asset or as a brush. Which is what I have been doing ?
@IAMRENSI11 ай бұрын
Assets are basically saved project elements. Affinity stores all the information of your asset on the moment you save them (masks, child layers, adj. layers, color etc.). Then there is 2 kind of brushes: 1) brush stamps - are are plain clones. 2) normal brushes - used for painting, adding texture, drawing, masking, etc. Hope this makes sense!

This was awesome! I'd love to take your class! What is the cost? (I'm in Canada)
@xzenor3 жыл бұрын
Great video! Small question about the assets though. It's there a way to make a backup? So that I still have them in case of a crash, or to move them if I upgrade to another computer..
@IAMRENSI3 жыл бұрын
Yea! You can export any assets category from the Assets Panel. Click on the button on the top right of the panel (with the three stripes and mini downward arrow - if I’m correct). From the dropdown you should be able to export your assets 👌🏼

Hey Ron! Thanks buddy! Just have a good look at brusheezy.com and you'll probably find what you're looking for! If not, I'll launch new brush packs soon, one of which includes multiple grass brushes :) Groeten!

Does anybody know how to adjust the size of dialog boxes in Affinity Photo?? For example: when I click on selective color under the adjustments Icon and click selective color it pop up and it's huge. Is there any way to make that smaller. I try to cursor over on the sides like I would a browser etc. to resize but the double arrows don't show. Any thoughts folks?? Thanks in advance!
@IAMRENSI3 жыл бұрын
Honestly I’m not even sure - never ran into the problem. I’m currently not in Affinity so can’t double check but you could try checking out the Preferences 👌🏼

Your manipulation course is no longer available. I get pop up saying it’s closed. I’m just discovering you today. Consider releasing it on Udemy, Skill Share, Domestika? I have all three of these. I would like to support if you are selling access to the course? That’s all I want learn - Create manipulations.
@IAMRENSI4 жыл бұрын
Hey Papo ! I indeed decided to close the course for now. I was putting so much pressure on myself getting this thing live, that I kind of lost the joy of photo manipulation. So I took one step back to have fun with it again ! Not sure when, but the course will definitely come. I’m not sure if I ever will join those platforms. If so, you’ll get to know it. Thanks for showing your support, buddy !

Hey, I think you managed to find a use for levels compared to curves. Point 3 where you show the clipping by holding alt/option, that doesn't seem to work for curves. I'm very used to curves and never use levels, so I'm kinda sad that that doesn't work. (Or maybe I'm doing it wrong..)
@IAMRENSI3 жыл бұрын
Hey, yeah I think you’re right ! That doesn’t work with Curves indeed. Majority of time I’m still a lazy Levels user, but I should make Curves the standard too. And honestly the last time I personally used this clipping feature was when I made this video haha.

Pressing D does not change my colors to default.
@IAMRENSI4 жыл бұрын
Easy fix! Go to Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts > Miscellaneous > Set Fill to Black and White to ‘D’. It’s a super useful shortcut, especially when masking !
