Hey Rudy! Thanks for watching. You can make assets yourself. However, can't explain you how that's done in one comment (I might turn it into a tutorial in the future). An updated version of the asset pack I used in this video is available here: academy.iamrensi.com/p/creative-with-animals 🤙🏽

Assets are basically saved project elements. Affinity stores all the information of your asset on the moment you save them (masks, child layers, adj. layers, color etc.). Then there is 2 kind of brushes: 1) brush stamps - are are plain clones. 2) normal brushes - used for painting, adding texture, drawing, masking, etc. Hope this makes sense!

Yea! You can export any assets category from the Assets Panel. Click on the button on the top right of the panel (with the three stripes and mini downward arrow - if I’m correct). From the dropdown you should be able to export your assets 👌🏼

Hey Papo ! I indeed decided to close the course for now. I was putting so much pressure on myself getting this thing live, that I kind of lost the joy of photo manipulation. Hey, yeah I think you’re right ! That doesn’t work with Curves indeed. Majority of time I’m still a lazy Levels user, but I should make Curves the standard too. And honestly the last time I personally used this clipping feature was when I made this video haha.

Easy fix! Go to Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts > Miscellaneous > Set Fill to Black and White to ‘D’. It’s a super useful shortcut, especially when masking !
