Another difference (in addition to Jens W.) between ebay kleinanzeigen and normal ebay is that Kleinanzeigen is (in many cases) for free for the seller. Only if you sell more than 50 items within 30 days you will have to pay a fee for the further cases.

Difference between ebay kleinanzeigen and plain ebay is that ebay kleinanzeigen doesn't involve the bidding process of traditional ebay. You just talk directly to the other person instead of entering a bid. It's a bit like craigslist in the US based on what i heard.

Thanks for the great videos! Planning to move to Aachen later this year, so the information is super useful! Could you talk about some ways to meet new people and make friends outside of work? (You guys mentioned that it is not very easy to make friends in Germany, so could you share how you went about doing that?)

So the whole Covid-19 situation of course changed things and the most common way of meeting new people these days is via MeetUps on meetup.com or expat groups. Thanks a lot for that question, we will record a video on that topic in the future 😊

Woah, thanks! I was slightly surprised about Whatsapp though, I know a German person who's not using it (and other messengers and Facebook) for privacy reasons, so they're sending sms! As I don't know a lot of Germans, I just assumed there are a lot of people like that, but good to know that it's not that widespread!

Maybe an eleventh would be "KATWARN" or "NINA" that are used to warn you in case of an emergency/catastrophe". It is Not used often but maybe IT can save your health...

That is a good question. We have great experience with the pre installed Apple weather app, so we can't really tell you alternatives. Wetter.com seems to have an app as well, maybe you can give that a try 😊

Wise provides a Belgian IBAN. It's great for international money transfers and and as an interim banking solution for Germany.

I have heard that Uber is banned in Hamburg (and maybe entire Germany). Can you confirm if is that true?

Uber has been working fine in big cities in Germany for the past years. We haven’t heard anything about it being banned in Hamburg. You can always use Free NOW as an alternative - it’s an app to call taxis to your location.

We aren't lawyers, so we cannot advise you personally. However, Germany does offer family reunification visas for spouses and minor children, so you should be able to move to Germany as well.
