I have the DM cover for the Venomnibus by Cates and it's probably my favourite cover I have.

@@TheComicBookReport Yeah, it’s the only time I’ve spent more for the DM cover but I had just sold an omnibus at the time so it wasn’t too bad.

My top 3 is Super Sons, Flashpoint, and Black Panther Coates run. Ironically haven’t read them yet but I love them.

I agree with a lot of your choices. I’m a big believer in the ‘less is more’ philosophy and always drawn to more minimalistic art styles. I find some comic art to be very busy and that includes some omnibus covers. That Death of Superman cover is literally a perfect cover for that material, aside from the metal bar covering the title haha.

Great list. Shoutout to the Spider-Gwen DM cover that homages the McFarlane one. Some other favorites of mine: Swamp Thing New 52 omni - bright, psychedelic colors make it very striking. Gwenpool DM - The variant cover that created the character. Simple and still funny. Book of Doom DM - classic Byrne image of the Avengers bowing before DOOM.

Superman homage and the “sauce bottle” covers on Spider-Man by Zdarsky. Cap by Spencer 2 (Falcon & Cap), Devil’s Reign & Black Cat both by InHyuk Lee, Gwenpool by Bachalo, Astonishing X-Men by Cassady, amongst many others

Good list. I love that McFarlane Spider-Man cover, but I actually like the Ghost-Spider omnibus homage cover even more. And that omni is a better read too 😊

I can already see you've chosen some great picks for this topic! The Brubaker Cap and Spencer Spider-Man you included are two of my absolute favourites as well! Some others that come to mind for me that I'm fond of are the New 52 Swamp Thing, the two Brian Michael Bendis Daredevil omnis, the DM variant cover for Donny Cates' Venom, the first Garth Ennis Punisher MAX omni, and more recently, I quite like the simplicity of Captain America by Nick Spencer Vol. 2. Anyway, another great list as usual, looking forward to the next 🫡

Thank you so much!! Yeah those Daredevil Bendis Omni covers are gorgeous! It’s my favorite DD run-I’ve got it in paperback but am hoping to upgrade to omnibus this year with the reprints announced, as budget allows ha! What also could have made this list especially this year is the new Secret Six Omnibus from DC, absolutely stunning cover art-I got that in shortly after filming this video 😅 I put a short up showcasing it in case you haven’t seen it, brilliant design work

@@LongBoiComics So far it's been an excellent read, at least in my opinion. I had read the first mini-series that tied into Infinite Crisis, but this omnibus is the first time I've gotten to read more of this team. I'm definitely digging it!

I would have included the DC Villains omnibus, which had a wrap around lenticular dust cover. It's the only omnibus in my collection where the gimmick cover design from the single issues was applied to the omnibus.

I would have loved it if Marvel had produced omnibuses with dust covers that had a chromium, hologram or foil stamping application that was relevant to the collection and the iconic gimmick covers they produced for their single issues.

I think my top 5 for omni covers from my collection would be Venomnibus volume 2. Spider-Man 2099 vol 1 (standard) Black Panther by Priest vol 1 (DM) X-men Fall of the Mutants Carnage omnibus (not absolute carnage)

Stunning covers is the reason I have a few books that I didn't even plan on buying lol I did buy the DM Nick Spencer ASM vol. 2 because that cover is gorgeous! So now hunting down a cheap copy of vol. 1. Also bought the DM covers of Zdarsky Spider-Man and DM of World War Hulk for not other reason than the covers were amazing. At least it opens doors for me to read books I normally wouldn't. Cheers on another great video!

@TheComicBookReport admittedly, my favorite covers are my custom binds because I obviously hand-picked the image. Let’s be honest, when we talk about covers, well, omnibus aren’t a great reference, i mean you can’t compare a generic Dust jacket for Death of Superman omnibus against the iconic Superman 75 which was one of the most selling comic books ever, but overall great video pal
