Adam Bomb should not only be on the list, but at the top of it!! Sadly they never gave him the push needed for him to succeed, a feud with a Taker would’ve been ideal..

What about Muhammad Hassan, if they had avoided the terrorist angle, the character had great heel potential.

Seekarr actually he got canned because London bombings which is not in the US.... It didn't help that everyone backstage hated him like Enzo recently
@sirthames
@sirthames 6 жыл бұрын
How was that angle his fault? I never understood that. WWE came up with that idea and like all workers he went with it. It was not his fault that the bombings happened the same time frame. Now had he got on the mic and made a derogatory reference to it on his own, then yeah fire him. And they still could have kept him around and used him. He had the look, the mic work and was a legitimate wrestler (Olympic wresting).

Brandon White he didn't got over fans took it too seriously in a mix of comedy and his mic work... Barrett was a legitimate heel... I agree with you... But it wasn't his fault that people got over with that bad news gimmick.... That gimmick portrayed Barrett as a last of that character in a blend of his excellent promo and mic work.... The same thing is happening with rude and his rude day gimmick

"I've got some bad news for you." -Bad News Barret In my honest opinion, I always considered Barret a MUCH better on air speaking personality than he ever was a wrestler. I think that Nexus would've never worked without him as leader. But his wrestling ability was mediocre at best. Daniel Bryan really put the angle over during their debut on Raw. Him choking out Justin Roberts was Attitude era-esque. It just sucks they fired D-Bry for 90 days, to kill his heel momentum and help the group as a whole. Daniel Bryan was light years ahead of anyone within that group as a wrestling machine. But D-Bry with Wade Barret would've been money together.

O'Hare was a terrible promo. That's why his push was shelved. He used to burst out laughing and forget his lines when doing promos on house shows. If you look at the devils advocate video promos he did they're clearly recorded one line at a time and cut together as that was the only way to do it with him. He was still a freak of an athlete though. The Seanton Bomb in wcw was a thing of beauty.

My two favorite eras of Smackdown were "The Ruthless Aggression era" and "Friday Night Smackdown era". Friday Night Smackdown felt like a proving ground for former mid card talent going to the main event level. It felt fair and balanced. I'm glad management took a chance to even showcase the "charismatic" side of Brian Kendrick, together with his phenomenal wrestling ability. I just think that his "addictions" are what destroyed any chance that he had with that amazing gimmick. He admitted to this during his Cruiserweight Classic personality introduction. He's doing well on 205 Live now. But unfortunately nobody really watches that show (we miss you Enzo..).

kyle damron it was OK, it's nothing on his own creation in Broken or Woken Matt. There is no limit to where his character can go, he has been "reincarnated" which means he's lived forever and has unlimited promo material from the history of human civilisation.

kyle damron yeah the restraints of pg tv and WWE being control freaks when it comes to characters and storylines will probably bury the Brokenness out of Matt. Also TNA used Reby, Matt's baby son and Senior Benjamin! Plus he hasn't done any communicating with animals, oh and Vanguard 1 is missing too.

I loved the Right To Censor *and* I loved their theme music, which contrary to common complaint was absolutely not just an ear piercing siren, it had a badass bassline underneath that was pure edge. Also, changing The Godfather to The Goodfather was just one of the cleverest little things. He was once The Godfather - now he's just a good father, people. A pimp changing his ways and becoming a responsible dad? Total heel move! Now Owen joining the Nation of Domination because he was the _black_ Hart was also witty but I don't like the sneering undertones so they get nothing for that.

It's not like why WWE didn't want to, but WHO didn't want Owen to be pushed to the top? That man IMO is Stone Cold Steve Austin. With WWE trying to make Austin the top babyface of the company to be the foil for Mr. McMahon's evil persona and the fact that Austin still held grudge with Owen after the the latter nearly paralyzed him for real and for life at SummerSlam, no wonder why Owen began treading water in the midcard never to get another big push for the WWE Championship

Could've been awesome. Owen joins the Nation and recruits them in his feud with Vince and DX/Corporation. Instead.. we got Blue Blazer. Mordecai could've been an excellent character in the vein that Undertaker was.... if Kevin Fertig was half the worker Mark Calaway was. Instead, we got a few squashes then.... Kevin Thorn. Which itself could've been what Gangrel should have been but.... we all know how that turned out. Honestly, it's depressing to think of just how many times WWE has taken something that should have been big and screwed it up.

ivaneurope Well that is a wildly inaccurate opinion. Especially if you've ever watched anything from Austin on the incident, or from Vince pertaining to the family. It's relatively well documented. The internet is your friend, no need to bash Austin for no real reason....even if it is 'IMO' .

when i was a kid, i was looking forward to someday see Undertaker vs. Mordecai but i don't think it ever happened. Mordecai was the flip side to the Undertaker's dark persona, he was the light, at least to me that's what i was thinking back then. The same slow entrance as the Undertaker, the same work rate/style in the ring, but the complete contrast from the Undertaker's attire. really hope that match happened, and if it did, i just don't remember anymore, getting old really is hard.... :D

Good video. List was pretty accurate. But I'd say Brian Kendrick DID get a second chance though on the Cruiserweight division. Yeah it's a far cry from his intial run but he it was better though. Also If there was a number 11 on that list, that spot would easily go to Ezekiel Jackson. Duse had potential and the the higher ups saw it. Then suddenly stop for no reason.

I remember seeing WWE live a while back and Mordecai was in one of the matches. However, during his intro speech, he mistakenly referred to the audience as "these sinners in St John's" Now St Joihn's is in NFLD but this was in Saint John, NB. he was pretty much laughed and boo'd out of the ring. Goes to show - if you're gonna act "holier than thou" at least get the city right.

I always thought the "The Brian Kendrick" was a parody of Shawn Michaels HBK. Brian Kendrick was trained by Shawn Michaels, he had similar moves and style, he dressed like him and he even had a bodyguard.

No. Realistically.. if you really think about it...his character is actually kinda stupid. It's the man behind it, and his legacy, that are great.

I feel like some of these gimmicks could still work again, like Right to Censor switching roles, wanting the WWE to be darker like the Attitude era.

"The Reflection of Perfection", Mark Jindrak. And by extension, "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters. I consider those two gimmicks to basically be the same thing. Heck, in many ways, Chris Master was basically just picking up where Mark Jindrak left off with the gimmick. I felt they could have done a lot with them.

For Mordecai; Kevin Fertig, the wrestler who portrayed his character, mentioned in an interview that a bar fight caused his departure from WWE, and why we didn't see a feud between Mordecai and Undertaker.

They should have had Owen blur the lines by playing a character who wanted out of his contract. Have him interfere in matches, attack the boss, hold the show hostage etc. Everyone bar him was granted their release after the screwjob so it could have easily been a believable angle. Also John Morrison should have made this list.

Mordecai (Kevin Fertig)did a podcast with Colt Cabina. He said he got into a fight and ended up in legal trouble so he couldn't be trusted via Vince. But he did return to ECW as the Vampire lol.
