I think a lot depends on where you start with a band as to what ends up your favourite, but as long as you’re not a sheep and follow the flock as well with accepted opinions. Your a rebel man, love it🤘😝🤘

But i love that M.O.D album they were completely against the commercial stuff at the time hence the video for True Colors. Or were you looking at the details and listening to it? Like the contributing factors were they there befor, during, or an afterthought? The production. The major label. The players. The only pick I disagree with is Leprosy, and I’m not even a massive death metal guy. All of your other choices are quite reasonable, you’ve earned another subscriber.

Excellent video. I disagree with you on the King Diamond and Dismember, but to each their own. I am in 100% agreement on Harmony Corruption. It sounds like generic Florida death metal, not Napalm Death.

That beer looks great. I have that glass! I found it at the Rose Bowl flea Market. I don’t get upset when people say they don’t like something - that’s dumb. I used to prowl that place on the weekends when I was in the military. Overkill has a cool cover at least. Chris Propfe also chose a King Diamond album that he disliked - it is a cover album where the cover is an homage to David Bowie’s covers album pinups. Even though the shark cover is dumb, the art is still good. I’m impressed with the art on many of these. You’re probably tired of my comments on the art but that’s my only in! I’m glad you didn’t throw that cassette - I thought you might - I was on the edge of my seat. That open wound cover is gross. Now I’m mad!! You hate that Leprosy!!! I can’t believe it!! I love IPA's. My son is finally starting to get into after dogging it for so long. I'm a beer guy all the way around. I started listening to Death Metal even earlier then you mentioned starting in 86'. I've always been into Metal, Hard Rock as a child of the 70's. Being a pre-teen/teen through the 80's the golden era of thrash. I started watching public access channel where they had this weekend show where they showed underground bands. I personally thought this is how Headbangers Ball got their idea from. Bands like Possessed, Nuclear Death, Death, Napalm Death, and such. My mom couldn't believe how i started considering I grew up in a mostly R&B, Motown household.

I don't agree at all with what you said about the great "Extreme Aggression", friend, one of the best thrash albums ever recorded, for me better than the overrated "Pleasure To Kill" but hey, I respect your tastes.

Hey man, love your work! I think you'll like some recent Brazilian bands, especially death metal projects like Troops of Doom, from Jairo "Tormentor" Guedz, the first Sepultura guitarist, the sound is just like Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation, but with some modern touch in the production, it's awesome. Also check out Open The Coffin, a Death Metal Project from Cláudio "Slayer" Nascimento, the focus here is an homage to the classic Swedish Death Metal sound and the "chainsaw tone". Cheers!

Agree with all of them except King Diamond and Dismember. Leprosy has good tracks, but honestly for me, the biggest drawback of that album is Bill's drumming. I don't wanna go on a tirade, but holy fuck, it's unbearable in some sections.

Surprised to see Leprosy and Extreme Aggression on your list. I agree with the most, especially Release From Agony. Love Destruction, but not that album. If I made a list, I'd choose Sabbat's Mourning Has Broken. After two great records Mourning was a huge disappointment.

Glad to see someone else doesn't care for Fourth Dimension. That and Abducted are low on the ranking for me.

I can't stand M.O.D., Hypocrisy and Napalm Death.. I have never really like anything by those bands. Extreme Aggression is not my favorite either, Milly has an annoying lisp on that album and pretty much every album after it. Cynic blows, I have never owned a copy. Great video D.

Ignorance is indeed superior to The American Way. Extreme Aggression is astounding, but it's the first one I heard and that's always a factor. I've never really seen the appeal of Over Kill. Same with King Diamond. Hate the fucking vocals. Not a huge Destruction fan either. Love that M.O.D album, but the debut fucking rules!! Oh fuck Cynic. Good list. Totally agree on The American Way, it's stompy and boring-thrash that put me off checking out the debut (which is much better!). King Diamond I find overrated completely. I kinda like that Kreator but it's my least favourite of all the ones before it by far and never listen to it; the vocals are getting too screachy. Quite like Under the Influence but Feel the Fire is peak Overkill. Agree on Release from Agony, it's "okay" but why listen when I have the ones before it? MOD don't do it for me at all, agree there. The sterile production on Fourth Dimension lets it down, and compared to what is before and what came after (I love Abducted) I just don't put it on. Disincarnate, yep, I really think Murphy is hugely overrated so that album is "just fine". Interesting thoughts on that Dismember - I love the video tracks Skinfather and Dreaming in Red, and Reborn in Blasphemy is a belter, but ALL the songs? Perhaps not. Harmony Corruption clicks with me but obviously if you want grind you don't get it lol. As for Leprosy? FUCK YOU DENNIS, OMG WTF BBQ.

First things first. You do a great impression of the vocals on that Destruction 😂. I dont like that album either. I nearly wemt with Disincanate too. Dull AF. I love a lot of the albums you pulled out, but to each his own. I'll never forget my disappointment with Slayer released South of Heaven. While I love 3 tracks from that album, it is still in my bottom 3 of Slayer albums. I don't care what anyone says, Slayer made their black album before Metallica did. I like Extreme Aggression, BUT I have never liked the production on it compared to how nasty the production on Terrible Certainty and Pleasure to Kill is. I felt the production was thin and the guitars aren't as in your face. Mille has said that one of his main influences became Megadeth, they started out as Venom worshipers like a lot of bands during that time, but their influences changed as the scene grew.

I dont hate anything on your list, dont love anything either, except for 'focus' by Cynic, that albums a masterpiece, great songs, memorable riffs, singable vocal melodies, and top notch musicianship, only caveman brains who love osdm and shitty sounding demos made out their moms basements dont like it, or people who just dont like prog in their metal.

The singer from Toxic should be called Absolute Dealbreaker. I never got into Extreme Aggression either. Starting with the group photo album cover. I do like Terrible Certainty, though it is a step down from Pleasure To Kill. I love OverKill, but Under The Influence is there weakest album of the 80's. Taking Over & Years Of Decay are miles better. I do enjoy Hello From The Gutter, along with End Of The Line. Shred & Head First are OK. The rest bores me. I would put Them as the most over-rated, boring King Diamond album. Grandma? Really? 😬 I think Fatal Portrait is a classic though. I like Utopia Banished A LOT more than Harmony Production. And...wait! What?!! I'm an open minded dude. I can usually see opposing points of view. And I generally agree with Ol' Dennis here. But LEPROSY IS BORING?!?!?!?!?! PISS OFF! So a MM release is a cool find because not many made it to the states! - there used to be a local crusty grind band called Denogginizer lol. - “if you wanna listen to shit that sucks, that’s all you man” belongs on a shirt.
