Rejarring. I love rejarring! It makes everything look so pretty. A blogger explained that this is called "decanting". So now when I restock my jars after grocery shopping, I say I'm "decanting" or I have to "decant the cereal". My husband rolls his eyes, lol. Makes it feel fancy and pretty! I love the word now.

I like using those magazine holders inside cabinets as well. I stand them up and use them to hold my tinfoil, wax paper, etc.

Be careful, dryer sheets have a thin layer of wax, that over time can build up in your dryer filter and cause overheating and even fires. Now it is not enough to guarantee a malfunction in your dryer, but I have had a dryer fire before, and I don't chance it anymore. Instead I use dryer balls :) they are a more green option too and great for helping you clothes dry faster :)

Umm, thank you for the tip. My question is, you know that drier sheets are meant to help your fabric with static, wrinckles, but does not help your clothes dry faster. Drier balls will help keep your clothes from bunching and will help them dry faster. But had no clue there was wax on fabric sheets. I always wondered...

my jaw dropped when you did the laundry room! it seems like such a simple thing to do, but the impact it had was incredible, just by jarring things and putting them in a designated tray. I love your solutions, you have changed my life with organization in my own home ♥️

This is that only idea she's done that I don't like. Having tide pods and other laundry ingredients in easy to open containers isn't safe if you have pets or kids. Even though you'd think that having them on top of the washer is them out of reach, kids and pets are very creative. I thought I was always safe until my dog opened a locked your cabinet, pulled down Mexican chocolate and shared with my other dog. Luckily found it in time but $3k later in vet charges got the message to me to think outside the box.

While the organizers on the back of the door are adorable, I might suggest a clear one so you can see what's inside. have them in my truck behind the front seats. It holds my sunglasses, dog bowls, masks, etc. I hang my pot holders on small 3m hooks behind my cabinet door near the stove. Love it. The dish organizer is terrific!

For me being 23 years old, still living at home I’m slowly starting to declutter and organise our house, sometimes without my mums knowledge of doing it or with her input if it’s her concern or her things. A great video. Thsnk you. Some fabulous ideas here, certainly helpful in maintaining tidiness and ease of use, however I hesitate to purchase these kinds of things, as I try to reduce my dependence on items that will eventually, if non-recyclable, inevitably end up in landfill . Having said that, I'm envious of people in modern homes who can make every room attractive, as well as functional.

The issue with your cat leaving a mess behind after eating might be the deep bowls. They probably cause whisker stress, and your cat pushes the food outside for easier access without its whiskers having to rub against the bowl all of the time. Maybe you wanna look into a more shallow bowl. Other than that I do love your tips, you're a home organizing genius !!

I just recently got a clear shoe storage bag to keep cleaning supplies in, it’s on my laundry area door, it’s perfect. Also freed up space for me to rearrange cabinets and have a place to store my air fryer when it’s not in use.

My favorite idea was the shower hooks for the pot holders. The over the door hanger thing is nice but I would definitely prefer a clear one so I could see at a glance what was in there without having to take things out first.

I've used vertical hanging organizers for cleaners, but I use the mesh ones so I can see what the product is, and also to air out bottles that might be wet.

Hey Kristen, I have a cat as well and I found that if I made 2 mini cake stands; 1 for food and 1 for water my cat would not drop the dry cat food and later discovered that my cat throws up less often. Yeah!

Amazing tips. One thing, if you have pets it's best to stick to natural cleaning products, especially on floors. Many pets have died from the chemicals in swiffer and such being used on the floors as they lick their paws and cumulatively it builds up in their systems. Better for you, your pets and environment if you steer clear of these toxic products. That goes for all cleaning products but specifically for direct contact with pets that's important

Another idea: put the date on the bottom of your spices so you can quickly check how old your spices are

👍 Yup, lots of people always forget to put the date. I used a small label, tape, or use washable marker. I put it on the bottom so it is clean looking. You can't see it unless you are looking for it.

Just cut some holes in the bottom of the little slots. A 1 hole, hole punch might work.

I thought the same exact thing! then thought I’d poking a hole in the bottom, however i think it could still mildew. But could hang it in linen closet door or bathroom door if you needed.

They actually make shower curtains that have pockets like this. My SIL had one for her kids. She used hers for toys but I’m sure you could put our stuff in it.

I’ve been hanging our hats in these type of rings for over a decade. I clip them to each other so the hang vertically and take up less space.

Out of curiosity, do you use the dryer lint for anything? We make fire starters from lint & paper tubes (cut tube to about 3/4 inch, stuff lint inside, pour some candle wax on top & bottom to hold it all together, light when needed & put kindling on top) to use in the fireplace (inside) or the firepit (outside).

These are great tips, a note of caution, the Three M “damage free” hangers can pull paint off the wall. My walls were painted 3 years before I put of the hangers and when I tried to take them down they pulled the paint off the walls 😕

How to Make an entry area when you don’t have one. My front door opens right into my living room; my back door gives you a choice to immediately go downstairs or into the dining room, which is just an extension of my kitchen. I have no coat closet & no real pantry.

@@jennywrenn469 I use my nightstand actually and have gotten two cute baskets from a dollar store that fits in the drawer, one basket is for as needed meds and the other is for daily. I also use a weekly pill organizer that is actually the best advice I can give anybody taking medication that needs them visible!

Just a note: curtain rods usually not strong enough to hold all the products, what you would put in the lots of pockets of the hanging organizer!

Thank you for those tips! Just wanted to point out, that dry laundry detergent sheets take even less space and are pretty compatible in price with Tyde. Also dryer lint is compostable (if you have such opportunity)

I love the shower curtain ring idea!!! I've been trying to figure out a way to keep my towel from slipping off of the oven handle. My new favorite organization tool are magnetic hooks. They stick to the fridge to hang cooking utensils, oven mits and even little spice racks that would usually have to be screwed into a cabinet door or the wall. My front door and closet doors are made of metal, so they are great for hanging a curtaib over the front door window as well as items on my closet doors. I love the over the door organizer you used for cleaning products. I used a similar clear plastic organizer in my son's room for all of his little toys. Since it was clear, he could easily find the toy he wanted unread of having to dig through a toy box and it is an easy way to keep them off of the floor. ☺️
