SUMMARIES:
- Slush Puppie can always be counted on to save the day when temperatures begin climbing in the summer months. There’s really nothing as refreshing as an ice-cold slush, and Slush Puppie has been dominating the field since the 1970s.
- In a world overflowing with sweet, fruity gum, Adams Sour would be a refreshing change of pace. Too bad it’s a thing of the past. This sour gum was a hit in the sixties and seventies, with flavors including apple, strawberry, lemon, and orange.
- Fruit juice and kids go hand in hand. In any given elementary school cafeteria, you’ll find a juice box in nearly every lunch pail. This was especially true in the eighties when parents weren’t as worried about the sugar content and viewed juice as a way for their kids to get in an extra serving of fruit.
- For a brief, but glorious two-year period, Wrigley’s produced Skittles Bubble Gum, a gum inspired by one of the most popular candies of all time. After the original Skittles Bubble Gum was discontinued, they tried again with Extreme Fruit Skittles Bubble Gum, which didn’t last very long either.
- This is another bubble gum brand with a sick marketing scheme. Each piece of Chu-Bops bubble gum was shaped like an LP record and, instead of being wrapped in a traditional gum wrapper, came inside of a mini record sleeve.
- Unlike many of the other gums discussed, Gatorgum was actually around for a significant amount of time. Developed in the seventies, this Gatorade-inspired bubble gum was available into the early 2000s.
- Some of you will be heartbroken that you never got the chance to try this gum. The rest of you will be thanking your lucky stars that it has been erased from existence. No gum could possibly be more polarizing than Black Cat Bubble Gum, which is none other than black licorice-flavored bubble gum.
- Once upon a time, Coca-Cola dabbled in the bubble gum game. This was way back in the early 1900’s, when they released Coca-Cola bubble gum, which was purchased by the Franklin Manufacturing Company and rebranded as Coca-Cola Pepsin Gum.
- In the spirit of discussing gum’s in which the concepts so cool that the flavor doesn’t matter, we can’t ignore Domino’s Pizza Bubble Gum. This bubble gum came packaged in a miniature replica of a Domino’s take-out pizza box.
- In the seventies, Adams, one of the founding bubble gum companies, had the genius idea of combining one of the world’s most popular candies, gum, with one of the world’s most popular desserts: ice cream.

I had that Gatorgum, years ago. But, as I'm not a big fan of Gatorade, I didn't find it anything special. What gum was special to me, when I was really little, were the Adam's Sour gum (green apple was my absolute favorite) and the Adam's Ice Cream gum. I'd love if those were brought back!

Skittles Bubble Gum was so delicious... they were bigger and they were much more satisfying to chew. That flavor from each bite, then half the box I shoved in my mouth.. haunts my dreams with tempting, nostalgia... I fantasize, if I ever come into a large sum of money, I would hunt down who made this candy and have them create the recipe for me and just dispense it for my own desire.. my mouth is watering and my heart is breaking, knowing I'll never be able to satisfy that unique craving... ever again.

These videos bring such a variety! I love them could you please make more about such things as snacks and food and pop culture of the 80s and 90s and popular sitcoms. Maybe do some more videos about popular places like Long John Silver's Kmart Jack's K's merchandise maybe you could also update some of your videos about favorite playlist brand names and favorite famous cold and warm cereals maybe more videos about Red Lobster Po Folks and other restaurant and their menu items that aren't around anymore. Also some about the most famous children's books and the author who wrote them. Maybe a listing of the top 20 most famous and favorite children's books of all time! The best and most famous toys of each decade! Maybe some videos about famous brands of Frozen and boxed Foods and snacks get some suggestions for you otherwise you're doing a great job! Love these type of videos!!

About the coke pepsin gum benefits for digestion... pepsin is a noted antacid. Chewing mint gum encourages salvia production which in turn adds in break down of food and may increase amino acids. Honestly, any mint gum can do this, however, considering the age of Coca-Cola gum this may have been a newly introduced idea. Another medicine gum was aspergum or a orange flavored chewing gum that contain aspirin.

I remember the paw shaped Slush Puppy gum. The juice box gum was also really good, even apple, but the flavor didn’t last long. I remember bubble gum that was shaped like bologna and packaged in small Oscar Mayer containers. I really liked the gum that was soda flavored and had a liquid center. I think there was 7Up, root beer, and Dr Pepper. That might still be around.

Slush Puppy is still awesome, I remember the gum also. My mom told me about the second one. Wow that's a true memory and apple was good. Vague memory of Skittles gum, love the candy. Bet there's a collector for those records gum, I tried the Gatorade gum didn't like it. Never knew about black cat, but I'd probably love it. Blast from the past on coca coke gum. Im not sure if I tried the pizza box gum or the ice cream one.

I remember it! I stuffed 3 sticks in my mouth when I was about 7 years old. Started blowing yuuuuuuge bubbles. They popped and had gum stuck in my eyelashes and hair! Had a ring of bubblegum around my mouth. My Mom was pissed! 🤣🤣🤣

I hate that I missed the Skittles gum. Though it reminds me of putting Skittles in Sprite and eating them after the color came off and the chewy part was left. We still have Gatorade but my fav flavour is gone, Alpine Snow, which was white coloured and tangerine flavoured. You should do a video on lost Gatorade flavours.

I am not sure if Gatorade is still discontinued unless it was recent because a few years ago I saw them in a sporting good store. A lot of these gums were before my time so I don't know anything about them. Not a bad video the gums before my time I've never heard of lol.

Yes, the chocolate and vanilla flavored one were my favorite. I also used to buy the gum in the juice carton. That Gatorgum I didn't care for it was sour to me just like Gatorade which to this day I won't buy or drink.

You should have mentioned that Black Cat gum was an obvious conceptual ripoff of the original licorice gum, Black Jack. It was introduced in the 1800s and lasted well into the 20th century. I believe Cadbury Adams still brings it back periodically.

I remember most of those, except coka cola gum. Chew bop was the most inventive. Adams sour apple & cherry were awesome. The ice cream gums left a nasty taste in your mouth. You forgot black jack, but then you already showed black cat. Gatorgum did actually quench your thirst (the bubble gum, not the sticks) kind of. 😜🤪🤯

Chocolate has always been popular in ice cream and candy, but it never made it successfully into gum or soda. A few B-brand soda companies that make a dozen flavors tried chocolate flavored soda, but it was never terribly successful. The same way with chocolate ice cream flavored gum.

They should bring back Skittles bubble gum, and make it clear that it's bubble gum. People likely thought that it was a more expensive, smaller pack of skittles.

She kept saying "Coca Cola flavored gum," but it's very clear on the label, it says "Spearmint flavored." It did not taste like Coca Cola.

Dude... I can honestly say Skittles Gum didn't taste that much like regular Skittles, had a little bit more of a bite to the chew and a stronger flavor in my opinion... maybe the masses couldn't handle the stronger punch of flavor.

I haven't seen my favorite gum in many years. My favorite gum was Carefree Surgarless gum.

Topps juice box gum was my jam but I can see how it's gone. After a few it turns to a few it turns to a flavorless chewable brick. Gatorgum was worse.
