Typically from Toxoplasmosis, hard to test for , dormant cysts can outlive the antibodies being tested for . Litterbox , undercooked meat& fish, congenital in cats and humans, contaminated water. 2 billion micro eggs hatch from litterbox in a week , cats constantly reinfect themselves, micro eggs live years in salt water/bleach water/ soil and still hatch. Effective medical treatments and effective natural treatments exist . Ocular toxoplasmosis causes eye floaters/ detached retina. Also common for toxo : miscarriages, birth defects, Parkinson’s, behavior changes, depression. See all dr Flegr books , also Usa Navy Oahu studies

I literally have every single one of these! And far more symptoms. Zero s drive as well. Been this way for the past 18 years. Whats wrong with me? Ill go from sleeping 5 hours a night to 2 hours im 24/7 exhausted and nothing brings me joy. I use to enjoy making things, but i just cant do them anymore and when i try it just feels like a super stressful chore. I have really really bad panic/anxiety attacks to where i feel like im dying and bad chest pain and feel like i cant breathe! And heart palpitations and very hard beating heart. They are so scary! I usually end up going to the e.r. because i am so convinced i am dying. i have zero quality of life and often have the urge and thougts of "ending it all" you know what i mean. At this point i am not living, i am barely surviving! I am so miserable 24/7 or just feel like a zombie! Emotionless I hate it. I miss the old happy,funny me that people loved to be around. Its ruining my Marriage and relationship with my young Children. I used to enjoy playing with them and going to the park etc. Its gotten so bad now i do not leave my home. And i hardly give my babies attention. I feel so very guilty! about it all, but cant seem to find the drive or will to get up and try more than i already try. My wife takes them to the park or store etc. And when they all leave i just cry so much for feeling like such a failure in life. I know they would be fine without me and probably better off. They deserve so much better and i hate myself for it, but i just can not seem to change my feelings and fears, depression etc. I also have social phoebia (agoraphobia) but its gotten way worse over the last 4 years. I am also very overweight from meds and eating away my problems, but adding another! Morbid obesity. Im a huge mess and have tried Doctors etc! And just feel hopeless and my ptsd has been extra bad lately as well. I feel so lost and alone. All of my friends have cut ties with me because i stopped talking to them. I dont really talk to anyone anymore. I just cant.

It's also symptoms for a lot of other conditions and illness. Basically anything can fall under these criteria. I think thee main thing to focus on are the last two, change of perception and religious obsession. At least those defrentiate from most other conditions. Sad thing is, that these symptoms are mostly ignored since they're so common.

@@a10robibrrrttt67 not necessarily, but I'd try to pay attention to changes in your relationships. A lot of people thought I was doing a lot better than when I was depressed but they found that I acted so strangely they began to distance themselves. In my case, symptoms also manifested themselves differently between depression and psychosis. When I was depressed, things didn't bring me enjoyment because I'd focus on the negative moments and stressors it could cause. Now I don't enjoy things because I'm convinced people are always trying to mess with me.

I know the symptoms she lists might sound vague, but if you’ve lived with someone who’s developed schizophrenia then you know exactly what she’s talking about. I have type 2 bipolar disorder and depression, but I’ve had it managed and under control for the last 15 years, so when my brother started to act strangely a part of me thought maybe he was just depressed, or worse maybe he also had bipolar disorder. No. His symptoms started vague and progressively became more and more distinct. He was sleeping 3 hours a night, his tone of voice shifted to nearly monotone, he lost 50 pounds and then pretty quickly gained 60 pounds, he stopped flushing the toilet, stopped washing his hair, he couldn’t remember small and even big things things from day to day, he would routinely start cooking something and then completely forget and small fires would start, it got so bad that at one point I was afraid that he developed early onset Alzheimer’s, when he wasn’t completely silent he was speaking manically about the importance of certain stones, how vitamins can heal everything, how sugar was the root of evil and that Jordan Petersen would look through the computer screen and speak to him about allot of this. The symptoms sound vague, but they very much ARE NOT.
@bashkillszombies
@bashkillszombies 6 ай бұрын
That's called "confirmation bias" Leslie. If I need to explain that further to you, you've lost all rationality. The symptoms are vague because like most medical and health vloggers on KZfaq they're just a (for now) meat version of an AI text to speech program that read garbage made by AI spam bots on blogs by the terabyte per second by Indian and Chinese grifters looking for ad revenue.

Recent studies have made the assumption that schizophrenia could be caused by deterioration of brain tissue. If this is true it is very similar to Alzheimer’s Disease as the root cause of it is neurological degeneration due to plaque build up in the brain. Patients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease also have shown similar symptoms of those diagnosed with schizophrenia such as ( obviously) deteriorating memory, delusions, depression, and anxiety. The reason I bring this up is because you mentioned how it looks like Alzheimer’s at first, if it is true that schizophrenia is caused by brain tissue deterioration then that could make sense.

My son was diagnosed which schizophrenia in May 2022.. it was the toughest time of our life …1 year of pure sheer terror and delusional thoughts that God wanted to kill him and hated him and that death was right around the corner … we could not watch tv… listen to music, could not go outside because he was certain the earth was gonna turn upside down and he would go burning into the sun… no swimming… he thought the pool ground would open up and drag him straight to hell… hearing messages sent by God through tv and music.. that he wanted to kill him… voices that scared the crap out of him.. sleepless nights … fearful days lots of praying .. crying and very emotional times for a year straight.. my poor baby 😢(18 yrs old) just snapped one day! We are on the road to recovery with the help of a place called Henderson’s Mental Health with a program that started a few months before we found them call Early Treatment Center… thank god for them and the wrap around service they provide him, from his psychiatrist, to his therapist and peer specialist and of course medication, he is just starting to live life again… the weight gain and nightmares is a terrible side affect as he gain 60 pounds in a years time and was have terrible nightmares that were just as real as the terror he had in the day time… please pray from my baby and all the people that suffer from this disease! It’s heartbreaking and with help, and a lot of patience, we are grateful and hopeful. ❤❤❤

People around me thought i was going crazy but ik it was spiritual. I was also 18-19. I'm 20 now. it was really tormenting but I'm okay now. I didn't take therapy but my mental health healed by reading the Bible everyday and praying everyday. It was a difficult, slowish healing process. Tell Him to seek God ever day. God will heal Him completely. God's healing power is stronger than any mental problem your son may be facing.

As someone who's had a few episodes/periods of psychosis in the past, and considering I have some schizophrenic friends. This is how I would describe the initial symptoms of schizophrenia 1. Religious obsessions and change in perception are the ones cited I would mainly associate with early schizophrenia 2. Doubting peoples intentions very often 3. Odd associations that don't really make sense (ex. the weather changes are defined by your mood/ you feel a shiver everytime someone talks about you). 4. You don't have visual hallucinations, but your thoughts are starting to get so loud you can almost hear them. 5. Your vision is sometimes turbulent (sometimes you see very subtle shadowy/light undistinguishable figures). 6. Difficulty processing words, numbers and images. There are many more, feel free to share your own experiences

I'd say these symptoms usually occur before the hallucinations, however people may not notice them, and cogitate some other illnesses. I believe most early onset hallucinations, come from excessive stress and lack of sleep, but never without any prior mild symptoms, such as paranoia and negative symptoms.

I have Bipolar 1 and Schizoaffective disorder. I’m so afraid that I am slipping into another psychosis. My last episode nearly tore my family apart, but I don’t know what to do. It’s like once that part of me takes over I’m no longer a person. I can only sit in this empty space of consciousness and watch as something else controls my mind and body. I get so scared of the things I see and hear and nothing really seems real.. It had been this way since I was about 13 years old. I’m not a stranger to it, but I don’t know how to control it. It’s becoming unbearable to live with these days.

I want to be there for him. When checking in with the younger brother he said, " that's not my brother, the stuff that was said and his accents and tones sounded like demons as of he was possessed" can anyone explain what that actually is?

@@redlilly4016 hi, I’ve been seeing a therapist since i was 14 (I’m 23 now) and I definitely think it has helped me reframe some of my perspectives and have a better sense of what I need to do to live a fulfilling life; however, i don’t think it did a whole lot in the way of depression. Depression is so multifactorial in that what’s causing it differs so much from person to person. For people who’s depression stems more from situational factors (recent breakup, bullying, struggling at a job or in school, difficult home life, lack of a sense of direction or identity) I think therapy can be really helpful just to have someone who you can pour out your feelings to and have them be validated and comforted. For people (like myself) who just seem to have a general disposition to feeling apathetic/anhedonic/no motivation/excessive guilt/ other depressive symptoms for no apparent reason, I think medication can sometimes be the only thing that can really kickstart a recovery. It wasn’t until I went on medication and stayed on it that whatever was messed up with my brain chemistry started to correct itself. Things stopped feeling so heavy. Life didn’t feel so purposeless anymore. I had things that I felt passionate about again. Every medication works differently from person to person but the one I’m specifically on that’s turned my life around is Wellbutrin. If you see your son struggling, it is always worth striking up a conversation with him and seeing how he feels. Many kids would be grateful to have a parent like you who notices these things. I wish your son all the best and hope things get better for him

It is hard to believe that in 3 years she basically turned into a reclusive teenager. She cannot function normally. Seems like she is always in her own world. do you know anything about narcissist abuse? I read the bad marriage thing & your whole post. from experience, the bad marriage could have been worse than anyone knew. people in it rarely know. it's so gradual & insidious &.. it's too much to try to explain. but I felt compelled to respond to this because though I didn't lose my son, I could have gone that far had I not had someone tell me about narcissistic abuse & I began to research. & in the healing there is first more destruction because you need to go back over the entirety of the relationship to see it how it was. so you can understand what happened & get back to reality. it messes with memory. it causes sleep disturbances. weight loss & gain. heart issues. addiction as coping mechanism. loss of joy/laughter. caught in fight or flight mode because we begin operating from our mid brain rather than prefrontal cortex so we dont stop to regulate...basically...it is an entire mind f***. literal brain damage occurs. it's horrible & the worst part is that it's not known by the general public. people usually become aware after its happened to them & usually, nobody believes then because narcissistic abuse is such a bad form of psychological violence that it seems fabricated. if you decide to look into this, please know this damage CAN be reversed. it takes work but it absolutely can be healed & she can get her life back. & also don't write it off if you watch a video & some things are resonate, but some don't because for one, there are numerous types of narcissists. my ex was covert narcissist. very dangerous situation that nobody knew about, not even me. until after... The Royal We is a great channel. so is Together We Are the Change Nyx the Narcissist. many good channels out there. hugs to you & your family. I think that there is hope here.

I spent 15yrs of my life believing i was a schizo and 2yrs taking medicines for this illness, by the time I was 26 I wanted to end my life and then something me stopped the violence.. I wondered who it was then, but then I didn't go through it I was sent to the pyschward and I didn't remember what had happened to me but I'm 32 now and I've been reading and listening to the Bible since I was 29yrs of age but I will mention that soon so in that time when I was 26 I think I felt the holy spirit in that situation where I was going to take my life, He stopped me from wrongfully taking the gift He gave to me. I couldn't explain it until I was 29 when covid began and it hit me in 2022 around January I got hit with covid 19 and it put me in a coma for 2 weeks and I saw a lot of things that happening today now and I heard this voice in the coma and that scared me, but I also saw my loved ones flashing through my mind. I remember hearing from the darkness of the deep and He said "Not Yet" in a loud whispering Gentle voice but it was a deep voice, man I've never would have known until I began reading the Bible and taking notes but I don't believe in this Schizophrenia anymore because 1. The drugs were ruining my brain function and 2. When I began talking to God about my problems and he listened and it is said that God works through you and I understood Him. Those voices you hear are just you allowing the enemy to enter your Kingdom (Mind & Heart) and twist your thoughts into something bad, I then started to think of them as spiritual attacks from the enemy and when I read books like proverbs and psalms it felt like I was equipping his Armor and then I found the sword Matthew 5:3-14 whew I still need to find the others but talking to strangers who need to escape this world's prison and start socializing more soon we won't have access to the internet and our money won't matter anymore yall need to pick up the sword too if you want to wake up again.

@modalia_playz i didn't realize you were a kid. My bad. Can you ask your parents to get you some organic unrefined virgin coconut oil & just tell them to read the health benefits on Google? I really think it will help. Also, a messed up gut microbiome can cause memory loss (more bad than good bacteria...can be corrected, don't get worried...if you want suggestions, let me know). Other things for your age (I went through the same thing when I was 8 through 14 actually) is sleep deprivation. Childhood trauma (if someone had said I had trauma back then I'd have thought they were lying but I think everyone does in a way). & I also found out I had adhd. I'm no doctor but I am someone who has gone through a lot & many times kept secrets while spiraling out on the internet trying to find answers. Of course keep paying attention to your body but honey I'm sure it is not some life threatening. Try really hard to get good sleep. To not let yourself get too carried away with worry. & the coconut oil. Memory loss can be associated with not getting enough HEALTHY fats. I have seen people who thought they had dementia, realize it was metabolic...closer to type 2 diabetes which can be turn3d around with diet & ive seen people do so...one woman actually left a memory care facility & moved home after getting on the berberine & coconut oil. I honestly think you being a kid, skip the bernerine. The coconut oil though..truly just Google the benefits of it & ask your parents for some! See how it goes. I love how all the early warning signs of schizophrenia (except 10) are the same symptoms of depression. 😅 I'm pretty sure that general odd obsessions and paranoia are also an early sign of schizophrenia. (My parent is my reference) If you're experiencing these signs, don't fret, just see a psychologist and a therapist as soon as you can to help you treat these symptoms, learn new skills to manage your symptoms, and make your life, and the lives around you easier. To learn new skills, Therapy is available through your medical insurance or online (think Better help). Psychiatry appointments can help manage or lessen the symptoms themselves. You are going to be okay. You got this. I believe in you.

I lived with the signs you spoke of in this video for many yrs,…..changed my diet to mostly whole foods, and it helped some, but what really made the difference was when I got on testosterone replacement therapy. I know, who would think that would have helped? And I didn’t get on it for mood issues but to help me gain muscle from lifting. I had no idea how my mental health would be affected by TRT. It’s been so surprising to feel more normal, not feel so anxious, depressed, moody, crazy……seriously, maybe consider this. My husband said to me, “I never want you off testosterone again.” Lol

This is really helpful. I have a family history of schizophrenia, and I have panic disorder along with some hallucinations. It's easy to convince myself when the hallucinations get bad that I'm going to experience schizophrenia onset. The fact is that while I do get similar hallucinations to schizophrenics, I don't exhibit most of the other symptoms and I'm definitely not matching what someone in the prodromal period would expect.

This also described how I felt when I went through menopause. This describes how I feel when the stress of school or work gets to me. This is how I felt living with abusive people who gaslighted me regularly. This is how I felt when I had postpartum depression/anxiety.

You got it 👍 All psychiatrists and doctors (particularly male) need to understand this! Men label women as neurotic and emotionally unstable, far too much due to our hormonal changes that affect our brain. If only they could experience it, along with all of the physical symptoms too.. I'm sure they'd love it!

This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion but I worry that people having spiritual awakenings in a society that does not acknowledge or support this may be diagnosed with schizophrenia. I believe we need people to wake up to their true spiritual selves but it’s terrifying to do so in this society that is becoming increasingly atheist. Prayers to all who are struggling with the symptoms mentioned. May you be guided in a good way and may you find the medicine you need to alchemize these energies for growth, healing, and transformation 🦋🙏🏼🦋

Not really, unless you have family that is very controlling an you don't have nay other option but to live with them and have a guardian. They are out there. But most ethical professional clinicians will not if they see that you are functioning well, and even if you aren't, they will use other diagnoses because we have to use the least restrictive diagnosis/es that we are working with.

I absolutely agree. I feel that if someone is struggling with their spirutual awakening it can seem like what is diagnosed as a mental illness. Until the world of psychology/psychiatry embrace this rising phenomena there will be alot of misdiagnoses for sure.

I have schizophrenia. All the symptoms mentioned were there and nearly uncontrollable. One thing is certain. Take the hospitalization, take the pills, but if you have social anxiety, skip the mental therapy. Mental talk talk therapy made everything worse. I cancelled mental therapy and returned to my original baseline of dysfunction, which was better than where I was going with therapy and where I was. I am going to be on a huge amount of pills and likely see many hospital stays, the rest of my life. To circumvent the schizophrenia, Asperger's, and deep depression, I socially isolated myself. This nullified many of the negatives of schizophrenia. But, it completely nullified all issues with the Asperger's Syndrome, and social anxiety. As for lack of interest in pleasure. There are few pleasurable things in life anyway. Not seeking pleasure just means I will not be disappointed when I do not find it. What most people consider pleasurable, are things I have no desire in doing at all. I require no companionship nor pleasure in my life.

When i'm doing drugs back then i've been experiencing this awkward quietness in me that theres a lot going through my mind and it seems that i avoid talking or talking less, this makes me looks weak and crazy from the perspective of these druggy friends back then who are much more heavy users than me. I went into rehab and 5 yrs sober now i can communicate well now but i still have this quick mood swings, quick loss of energy and the feeling of i'm out place when i'm with my workmates. Which i'am not sure if this is schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. Then i also has these different perspective of the world and religion but i don't recognize these as symptoms. I still have this activist mind set that i think i'm gonna live with it.

The prodormal state is the silence before the storm so to speak. Prodormal symptoms are negative symptoms that appear before a full blow psycotic episode which will have pozitive symptoms such as delusions. But as long as you are not at risk of schizophrenia, meaning you don’t have a family history of it, your mother didn’t have birth complication when you were born, and you don’t do drugs I think you’re pretty safe as this symptoms can mimic a lot of other things.

I honestly think someone I know is developing schizophrenia, or has schizotypal personality disorder. She says she has PTSD, but I’m not sure that that is the only thing going on. She has these moments where she has really bizarre ideas and actions, that she “snaps out of” when challenged. It becomes much worse when she’s stressed. She is excessively preoccupied with paranormal stuff, like tarot cards, “feeling” people’s presence because they have a “connection”, and things like that. She thought I wanted to “steal” her crush (a person she “feels” close to her when he’s at home, and that she receives “emotional vibes” from him), because I didn’t answer her messages for a day. I was sleeping most of the day because I was medicated due to a severe migraine. She based that idea solely on the fact that he had a party and she heard the his door open and close (which apparently only could have been me). We’re all neighbors in the same building, btw. I have never talked to this man, except for a “hi” once I met him, and he’s not gay, like me. She also regularly thinks I’m communicating with him over Messenger, talking about her… She has also mentioned that she has started to feel unstable, but doesn’t trust therapists. I honestly don’t know what to do.

Being alone as a young adult under stress without a good job or support from anyone can lead to psychosis. I just wanted to save the world but I had to save myself first which requires a good grasp on reality. So I cured myself by ignoring the hallucinations and delusions.

My doctor told me that it wasn't the experience of a traumatizing past relationship that caused my schizophrenia but that "my" schizophrenia was always there it just took that traumatizing experience to make my schizophrenia come afloat or evident. In retrospect I was a very happy kid till around that traumatizing experience that occurred in my late teen hood. My adult life has been hell. Now at 40 I really do not know what is true. 🤷🏼

@rumblefish9
@rumblefish9 11 ай бұрын
The symptoms she's talking about are signs BEFORE full-blown schizophrenia. Meaning before they start showing the classic symptoms of schizophrenia like hallucinations, delusions, paranoia. People with depressive bipolar don't have delusions or suffer psychosis. People with bipolar with psychotic features do but they are not as severe and pervasive as those with schizophrenia.

Yes, these look a lot like major depressive disorder. The main things to look out for to rule out schizophrenia from MDD are the last two are not too bad, and social, academic and/or occupational functioning are hampered. Mainly when looking for schizophrenia, the last two are the major ones in most cases, as is lack of sleep, especially if it is extreme and over a long period of time, say a week or so, and then you want to look at ruling our bipolar. Also, the main difference between schizophrenia and schizoaffective is does the client have signs of a mood disorder, such as MDD, Bipolor, ODD, OCD, etc.? If you can't rule out a mood disorder as well, you may be looking at schizoaffective. And look at medications too. If a client has more medications to treat mania, anxiety or depression than for treating other schizophrenia symptoms, like hallucinations (antipsychotics) then they schizoaffective is probably the best diagnosis for them.

My ex husband has schizoaffective disorder as well (easy way to explain that is schizophrenia plus bipolar disorder). Before he had his first full blown psychotic break (he’s had like 7 psychotic breaks and hospitalizations in about 6 years) I thought it was a severe depression. Some early signs of psychosis were disorganized speech, extreme isolation, paranoia about his family members being out to get him, thinking everyone hated him or was making fun of him, pacing back and forth, angry outbursts because of the paranoia, neglecting physical hygiene (not bathing for long periods of time and rarely eating/drinking water), and homicidal ideation.
